Ok so you don’t think Rudi will add anything second half of the season then?
I absolutely think Rudi will be back to top form. There were glimpses at Stoke. The only thing that can hold him back IMHO is if his shoulder troubles him. Hamer took at couple of seasons with us to hit top form albeit in a slightly less able team. Rudi has only been here one and a half seasons with a 9 week injury holding him back.
I also think Hamer will be back much, much better. Hamer's greatest asset is his speed of thought translated into successful passing. It was why he always looked as if he had so much space and time. Bannan is similar but unfortunately, too old now..

Never really been one for wanting old players back, but Gus I would absolutely love back.
£6m for a proven top championship midfielder and what seemed like a decent prem midfielder from his brief stint is a no brainer in my opinion.

Who else are you getting for that price that is not only a good player for us now, but also next year if we go up?

Overweight and he’s outperforming Torp, imagine what he’ll be like when he’s not eating his feelings about being away from CCFC.

I look forward to Hamer signing for another team.

This is sky blue tinted obsession of the Carl Baker variety.
Bit of a difference here. Nobody can deny Hamer is a quality player. Even though not as fit as he could be he could play a big part in our side.

He loved his time with us. We're presently heading towards the Prem. My guess would be he would be more interested in joining us than we are signing him although the value it seems that has been put on him must be tempting.

Well it’s a lazy argument. he was championship POTS last year
Correct, no denying his talent but without trying to Mystic Meg, probably wants to go abroad.

He’s done the Championship/Prem side of things, he will be 29 next season so his next transfer is his last big pay day. I can’t see us outbidding some of the Turkish clubs being banded about.

Attractive transfer fee, but he’d probably be our highest paid player by quite a distance. That’s probably the road block to a potential deal.

I attached the fotmob stats and ratings. Torps is also in the Whoscored and fantasy EFL team of the season so far.

The opta stats are far more telling.
Convenient your graph wipes out all 3 of those things 😆
I'm not sure even Sheffield United fans would argue Hamer has had a better season than Torp but you can always rely on a handful on here.

To be fair though Greek teams or ow contracts. ned teams do have form for this sort of behaviour

I used to know a solicitor who dealt with footballers. He would advise the player never to sign a contract with a Greek side as they probably wouldn't honour the contract.

Torp hasnt even been fit for the last couple of months anyway.

Anyway its all in vain as theres no chance Doug spends on a CM this window

I'd even take Hamer for £6 million so I find myself in an awkward on the fence position here. Even if he's not fit, what a player for 30 mins. I just don't see it happening at all.

People comparing him and Torp when we could have the ability to use them for 90 minutes combined.

Well just pointing out the stats.
It actually shows relative parity. It shows Hamer attempts more passes and at much lower % (because they're more progressive), with slightly better non-penalty xG + xA.

A quick comparison shows that Torp beats Hamer in 23 out of 36 metrics on FotMob. In particular, in most defensive categories, chances created, shots on targets, xG and minutes per game (Torp is at 79m per game, Hamer at 64 minutes per game).

Hamer doesn't play CM for Sheff U so it's a false comparison anyway. If we signed Hamer, he'd be playing further forward than he would back in 22/23.

Oh well I'm sure we will be consoling ourselves when we sign a Premier league youth player on loan and saiyng "yeah but at least he will be fitter than Hamer! and we have allen and eccles"
Hopefully we have an ace up our sleeve. I don't feel like Lampard has been given much in the way of transfer funds, now is the time to loosen the purse.

If they don't honour it ,they would be sanctioned by UEFA/ FIFA , until they had paid up or come to an agreement.
