When I see some of the players fans suggest it only reminds me that most fans for obvious reasons have not watched much premier league football live in the flesh. When you do you notice the gulf between the top of the championship and the bottom 6 the premier league is enormous… honestly it’s hard to comprehend the gulf.

If someone is not an absolute stand out in the championship they won’t be even close to being capable of stepping up a division.

As brutal as Forest and Sunderland were they ripped up their promotion winning teams and pretty much started again as soon as they got promoted.

If we pay £100m, we would get 10% of that, so a £10m payout. Get it done Doug. No brainer!

Sound business sense 👍

I wonder if we have the same sell-on clause for Haji. If so we could buy him from ourselves for the £200 million DK values him at and get £200 million + £20 million = £220 million.

Alongside and as an understudy to Grimes I still think Conor Coventry at Charlton. A very good player who I think will still improve.
When we went one up so early at Charlton I was hoping we'd get a few more and the chance to sing "Coventry, Coventry, what's the score". But it was not to be.

It's telling that his club in Sweden were quick to say 'nothing to see here, he passed his medical, Olympiakos fucked around'. Then the player tells some long winded story about Olympiakos only wanting to pay him every 3 months. Lastly on the Greek side there's claims the deal fell through at or just following the medical.

I know who I'm inclined to believe.
To be fair though Greek teams or owned teams do have form for this sort of behaviour

In other news, Bobby and Kitch have been invited on The One Show to promote their new children's pop-up book about baby animals.
They're also doing a book signing at Smithford Way Waterstones tomorrow and the mother and toddlers morning at the Central Library next Monday.

He’s stocky.

It’s the same fans saying don’t write off Haji wright because he’s had a disappointing 14 games saying don’t go for hamer as he’s been crap this year
There is a reason he has not been at his best, as I have outlined.
You are just an agent provocateur or in football social media parlance, a WUM.

Players don’t always go for their worth, their premier league money is running out, hes on 40k a week and he clearly doesn’t want to be there. I don’t think he’ll come here but I can’t see them getting £15m. Thats basically what we got when he was 4/5 years younger.
They are aiming for the playoffs. I have never seen anything to say he doesn't want to be there, other than people equating his form with him wanting to leave. If they decide to cash in, it wont be for £6 million. You are saying his worth has dropped £9 million in a year? Agree £15 million is too steep, but you get average top half Championship players for £6 million these days. They are looking to add players, hence offering way more in wages for Bamford. £40k a week was quoted randomly on here. See my post about unsupported details suddenly quoted as facts. He left us 2 and a half seasons ago.

A lazy argument? He has been injured and struggling to get back to form whilst playing out of position. Same argument could be made for Rudi.
Ok so you don’t think Rudi will add anything second half of the season then?

The reason his value is also dropping is after this season his contract is in it's final year. If he stays until summer as the bloke from the Sheffield Star thinks is a likely possibility then they won't get much more than 6m for him due to him being able to walk after that season.
