We have 10% of total fee.

That’s worth the gamble, if Lampard felt he could control/impact him. However don’t see that, imagine takes dim view of his off field ways.

also not sure he’s on kings Xmas card list as didn’t leave on fantastic terms. (Let’s not go down that road again either !)

never just the transfer fee. if his wage is a lot more than our top earners it could be unaffordable and/or upset other players

I don't disagree. But my point of Stoke using the scattergun approach and wasting hundreds of millions just to finish in the bottom half of the table most of the time is similar to the Birmingham approach. Buy good players at an inflated prices but never a team. Spending up to 10m per player in League one gives a massive advantage but the Championship is a different animal.

So here they are. Tipped to be minimum playoffs by many but are a few points away from the top half of the table. Their best players are loans that will go back at the end of the season so they have to start again.
The Ron Atkinson approach.

He would expect to be among if not the highest earner I think. We would at least play him in his best role, but his unprofessional habits would lead to a clash with Lampard pretty swiftly.

We still have spaces for loan players. If there's any quality players coming in I would guess they will be loans like the previous 2. Then, set up the squad with permanent signings at the end of the season.

My Palace mate said they will most probably sell Esse if about for what they paid for him. I wouldn't be surprised if some sort of deal has already been agreed.
Think we would do that if he performs and we get promoted. Also, Mini strong possibility of another loan in the top division, as Spurs do not want to sell him.

People need to start getting the fuck over the whole wages thing! What people are currently saying is unaffordable now, will be peanuts if we want the type of players to keep us in the PL next season.

Also, on the "upsetting other players"! Ffs! You earn what your worth. All players at all clubs earn different amounts. You think there's any players at Inter Miami earning anything near to what Messi is earning? No, and why? Because outside of Messi, i couldnt name a single one of their players names. Is it fair that Ronaldo owns part of Al-Nassr as part of his pay along with a house, a car, a driver etc, whilst the rest of the squad (who again i couldnt name a single one) just get a salary? If players without PL experience want to get pissed off at a player bought in with PL experience earning more than them, then they clearly shouldn't be playing football and should work in a warehouse where everyone earns the same wage regardless of length of service.

I have less of an issue with that and more just a concern about his fitness and Lampard not tolerating him going out on the piss every week.
