5th round of the cup weekend

Due to be Bristol City away, who have just pulled out a very winnable FA Cup tie away to Port Vale

Unsure if that is a good thing or not…

Definitely a good thing for Frank, it means players get another break, those carrying knocks have time to recover, and the players can get some good tactical work done on the training ground.

Maybe that's why Frank made 8 changes for the 3rd round tie.
You dont leave out players like Grimes and Rushworth if you want to win a game.

It's not as we will have to probably play on a Tuesday or Wednesday in between Saturday fixtures not checked.
We’re already due to be at home to Preston on March 11th

Unless they brought the game forward to w/c 2nd March could well be backlogged to the very back end of the season

Bristol City is an attractive away game and will now be midweek which makes it harder for sure to get a good result. Seen a win and draw midweek though in recent times albeit with Gus and Vik in the team (great late winner).

Suppose it is all subjective on form isn’t it - If we were to go on a good run of form in the build up to that then I’d be a bit cheesed off to see a break in play disrupt our rhythm

If we are in a rut, the break is probably welcomed

we would have had Fulham at home. Glad we lost

The numbers are allocated alphabetically I think so the draw would have been totally different. The idea we would have got them has always been total nonsense 😆

For this draw, it was based on tie numbers from the previous round - so it would have been Fulham at home.

The only benefit for that would’ve been 20 loyalty points. Other than that, not bothered about playing Fulham.
Yep, we’d probably get beat and, no disrespect to Fulham cause I think they are good club but it is hardly a game to warrant get excited about losing (Unlike a game against Arsenal, City etc.)

At least my apathy towards Saturday was justified anyway and all these Stoke fans have been giving it big licks just to end up with a vanilla tie that they will lose:ROFLMAO:

I'd rather have the 3 points we got there than win a pointless cup tie in front of a man and his dog.

We're the right side over here...
