Doubt it. Think the wingers were a high priority given our lack of depth there, and evidenced by the players we were linked to and speed of the business. We’ll be more selective and considered with any further signings I think.

Dion Sanderson was raved about that year. Which goes to show yet again that us fans have no idea what we’re talking about in relation to recruitment and talent ID’ing.

I’m not exempt, outside of Cov and England, I’ll watch whatever is on TV so mostly Prem and UCL. The posters on here who can recommend players in the J-League, Scandi leagues and so on… hats off to them, they must watch a lot of football.

Buchanan the LB was raved about and then got turned inside so badly at the CBS that I still think he's in the Tesco car park trying to find his way back in.

But I'm not sure you will see "normal" Doug behaviour this window. He is said to be anti loans as he doesn't see the value but he's okayed 2 already. He knows how much promotion is worth so he's willing to ok things he wouldn't really this window.

Solis? An okay but young could be good midfielder. If he was as good as they think he wouldn't be coming to them.

But on the other hand he is not likely to be this close to completely his business plans which is clearly to get us to a position he can sell us on for a big profit again so you may see him take more risks.

I think he might spend but only if he’s convinced of a few things

- They’ll make a genuine difference to our promotion push
- He’s getting a good deal on the transfer fee
- They’ll have resale value in the future

Struggles to defend and is much more of a wingback than a fullback. Better than Bidwell or Brau but think he would struggle in our system.

To rationalise it slightly, he’s only 21 and you’d say La Liga is of a better standard than the Championship so he may prove to be better than that demonstrates in the long run.

Besides, any deal will have some typical City Football Group buy-back/sell-on arrangement where it makes no sense to do.
