It seems like Brum are having our scouting cast offs. First Wagner and now Manneh. Wagner seems to have hit the ground running. Lets hope Manneh doesnt look like one that got away in time

Hopefully none of our fans will suggest signing Josh Sargent ever again.

It was four million we didn’t need to spend by bringing in the loans hopefully we can spend it elsewhere.Be nice is he was a dud and we suckered them into buying him

I thought @Saddlebrains more or less confirmed we were going to sign a CM in this window.
he is and we know the club has cut the leaks out so there's every chance it will be like the Esse and Yang signings where the first you hear is from the other club when it is pretty much done

We've signed theplayers we really needed nice and early so people just need to relax

I think we were less keen on Manneh as we're top of the league. Loans make more sense to get us over the line

If we go up we will target those who can play in the Prem. I doubt Manneh will be able to yet

Also we have brought in two players who are settled in this country and familiar with playing in the Championship, so in theory more likely to hit the ground running and contribute quickly.

I don't think Manneh has ever been taken seriously by the club, as with our current position we are not looking for a work in progress, but for players (loanees) who have experience of playing in the championship. We have been active around the scandinavian market so they just put two and two together. We can tell from FL responses that we won't be getting any forwards in, which I think is grand. I think he trusts our defence, even if we don't. He likes Bidders, he likes Bobby and Kitch so I can't see a defender coming in, but we do need a midfielder. We never replaced Hamer and it cost us. We brought in Grimes, who has been amazing but if he is out we do not have a replacement. Even if we bring/buy someone only for the next six months, an old head who can steady the game. FL knows and has more contacts than others in the game and I am sure he could bring even an overseas player who can do a job.

Somewhere there are blues fans watching that Manneh highlight video where after a lovely bit of skill he puts it over from less than 6 yards and trying to convince themselves he's the new Messi.

They are creaming over this Jhon Solis. You'd think they'd have learnt by now, their recruitment overall has been garbage.
I do think their new LB is good though.

Jury is still out on Wagner, let's see what he's like against a team that attacks him as Saka did fuck all to worry him.

Solis? An okay but young could be good midfielder. If he was as good as they think he wouldn't be coming to them.

Also they've creamed themselves over many a player who turned out to be shite, Kyogo and that other Japanese fella who has played so little I can't remember his name are 2 examples.

Rumours locally he has forced a move as Poch has told him he needs to play at a higher level than the Championship to secure a WC spot. (Not sure the MLS can be counted as this, but is apparently is the narrative)

Might well be the reason Haji is faltering (if he's received a similar ultimatum) - and seemingly having his name touted amongst the press to various suitors as per his new agency...

Wagner committed 4 fouls against Sakamoto and got booked for a horrible tackle on him - he obviously worried him a bit. He looks good going forward but question marks defensively.

He was also blowing out of his arse when he was subbed.

If he's still playing well in a few weeks, and hasn't insulted his Japanese teammates, then he can be classed as a good signing.

I reckon, based on nothing but a hunch, that we will see another in before Leicester.
Doubt it. Think the wingers were a high priority given our lack of depth there, and evidenced by the players we were linked to and speed of the business. We’ll be more selective and considered with any further signings I think.
