The word is he wants to leave. It would be stupid not to test the situation. Even if we failed in January it might help if we went back in for him in the summer. Players like it when a club shows persistence for their signature.
He asked to leave under the previous manager. Unsure if he still wants out. A PL club would attract him I'm sure.
We cannot afford him.

I know most don't like him but Luke O Nien can cover multiple positions and is a horrible do anything to win player. Honestly id take him and go get another attacking option. We then have enough cover and will finish where we are supposed to finish after 20 games.

Send Perry out on loan and see if we can move on Brau.

No way we are getting him clubs in the PL and abroad are interested him him and he would cost way more than £15 million

For all intents and purposes we’re a PL club

£5m players like Woolf aren’t going to cut it clearly. That’s just the level we’re at now with permanent signings.
That really does depend on the player we are splashing £5m on.

So using FotMob our top six players on overall ratings for the season are.

Torp
BTA
Grimes
Thomas
Kitching
EMC

All these players were signed for under £5m. There are good players out there for a certain budget. Regardless the £15m suggested is something we will never spend at this level.

And nor should we ….. overspending is the quickest way to unpick the amazing progress made iver the last few years …

If you look at our team which in 2/3 weeks will be fully available unless we suffer any more suspensions or injuries

Starting 11
GK - Rushworth
RB - van Ewijk
CB - Thomas
CB - Kitching
LB - Dasilva
DM - Grimes
DM - Torp
RW - Esse
AM - Thomas-Asante
LW - Mason-Clarke
ST - Simms

Bench
GK - Wilson/Dovin
CB - Woolfie
RB - Kesler-Hayden
CM - Eccles
CM - Allen
RW - Sakamoto
AM - Rudoni
LW - Min-Hyeok
ST - Wright

leaving still not in the squad:
Latibeaudiere, Bidwell, Brau and Andrews

To me we need a CM, everywhere else in a fully fit squad we look good, if we bring in another LB where do they fit in? To me they dont as KKH can play there, so a CM that can play 6/8 would be perfect

Piroe playing for Leeds today. Just missed a penalty.
Did you see the penalty that was given? So soft! If it had been us we would have needed 3 opposition players dragging our player down and sitting on our player before the ref think it might be a penalty

Is Bashir Humphreys a realistic shout? Not got much game time for Burnley this season, albeit started their last 4 PL games (unsure whether this has been driven by injuries/AFCON absences). Plays LB or CB.
Scored the other night form them didn't he!?

They do mostly

No they don’t.

Football is mainly a kids making business.

Clubs spend more than their income but not more than they can service. A bit like most people do with a mortgage:

Clubs that get into trouble are those that normally make lincone assumotions they can’t sustain or guarantee.

Overspending now on the assumption we can afford it if we get promoted is exactly the sort of decision we need to avoid.
