He’s played well about 6 times in the past year.
Who can forget the second leg of the playoffs when Lampard should of took him off at halftime as it was like playing with 10 men despite being the best side , I don’t know what’s wrong with wright but he certainly doesn’t look interested at the moment.

We are ultimately top of the league by 8 points .. the fact we are here slandering haji wright because we cant handle a handful of below par results probably says more about us as fans tbh

He should have scored today i agree , but he didnt and we move on

A handful? He's been shite for about 3 months now.

I don’t know what it is with him, he just never looks that arsed. Home World Cup around the corner you think he’d be busting a gut to impress but his performances are just flat.

I don’t want to be too negative but No goals in 13 is not good enough for our supposed top forward in a team sat in our position.

I’ll be honest I’ve never been convinced with either Simms or Wright and wouldn’t be totally against them being replaced in January but understand that is challenging.

The maddest part is he’s still only three goals away from being the top scorer in the league, here’s hoping for a hat trick for him on Sunday.

I’ve been like that for so long and it boils down to it for me that after three years is it now I’m still not convinced by him, when he’s on it and he’s scoring goals and he has a hot streak, but when he ain’t scoring he’s not contributing much else to the team.

Take what we can and get him gone.
That's the whole issue, it's the lack of other general contributions.

Oh well just like last summer, players when out of form, lets rid of them instead of backing and helping them.
Oh well did these guys not help us score 50 plus goals so far, but now no good according to our supporters.
We don't deserve to be promoted and wont with threads like this.

I'd had enough of him after play off semis, but then the form he found at the start of the season and hearing he'd had a knock, I thought fair play give him a chance. He's had enough chances now and beefs an extended run on the bench or getting someone else in instead.

Pretty much where I am.
We've got a huge opportunity for promotion, we need everyone putting in maximum effort whatever their other limitations.

Wright. One shot flew past the post. One shot parried, from which Allen should have scored. One knock down for Kitch who drew a good save from their goalie. Made a great chance near the end with his pace but missed it. Defensively at set pieces he was excellent.
Haji's form is not great at the moment. Middlesborough two main strikers have scored fewer goals than Haji between them. Ipswich are not much better. Their wingers are their top scorers.
Form is temporary, class is permanent.
Some of our supporters are like the Taliban. Set in their opinions, see what they want to see and unable to ever change.

36 goals in 89 league games including 0 in his last 13 as people are pointing out

Even with the bad run its a good return at this level, hes got to find his form again and im sure he will

Take away EMC and our goals have dried up. These things happen.
Pretty sure we will be back firing again, but we need to get the bugs and injuries out of the way.

Im pretty sure no striker 'wants' to be shit or out of form
The problem is he isn't consistently good enough and doesn't fit our best style of play, where we need a strong central striker who can hold the ball up, play others in and get in the box.
It's time for a change and he probably feels the same.

I admire your optimism. I think the only way we really recover is by adding quality who can quickly get in the team and make a real difference. Id personally say a striker and central midfield at least.

Not saying we don't need those things which would help. However, in a year, we have accrued 92 points. Auto's form with these players.
It is as plain as the nose on a face that our recent form is due to factors that have conspired to make things difficult. Injuries, tiredness, temporary loss of form and a really bad flu bug. They will not last all season unless we are extremely unlucky. We are down to our third choice left back and having to rest EMC who has been our main threat recently.
Some supporters have difficulty looking past last week. People should look at the bigger picture.

He's got quite a few hat tricks this season......unfortunately they are hat tricks of totally inept performances

I agree we can't keep changing strikers or any player willy nilly but this has been going on since he first come here and he may be good when he's at it but we can't keep carrying him, he doesn't look like scoring he constantly loses the ball when its played to him he seems to have a reputation between refs of falling over easily so doesn't get the fouls he sometimes deserves and the good thing for him is that Simms although he does try isn't the answer to lead our line

Maybe he’s been told that he’s in no real contention for USMNT and it’s deflated him. He’s a striker but above that he’s human, so each game goes by and he doesn’t score will kill his confidence a little bit more.

That’s the problem I don’t think he is concerned at not scoring, all players lose form but the good ones fight to regain form, but wright don’t have any fight in him .
I agree, but it just seems so much crazier when he's got a WC spot to fight for.
