LI agree with the improvement.
The transition from MR to FL has seen so many improvements across the pitch.
JDS looks a different player.
Eccles, Torp, and Rudi look like new signings.
EMC and BTA the same.
Wright has made no improvement AT ALL from the player we signed. No progression at all in his time at the club. Still a great player in flashes that goes missing for long periods at a time. The team has grown, he hasn't. For that reason, I wouldn't lose any sleep if we were to cash in a decent offer on him.

Even if we dont immediately replace him in Jan, with BTA coming back, and hopefully a winger or 2 coming in, we do have goals coming from elsewhere on the pitch. He hasnt scored in week's anyway so cant say losing his goals will cost us dearly. The goals he has scored this season anyway were in a 7-1 win, a 4-0 win, a 5-0 win and 1 against Norwich that hit him rather than him scoring a goal. The Norwich goal aside, he's not scored crucial goals in crucial games. Hes got on the scoresheet in easy matches where half the team joined in too.

It would be nice to get 1-2 in quickly, you’d hope considering we missed out on a few in the summer window that we’d have some bits prepped and ready. All for quality over quantity and that deals don’t always go smoothly but we’ve known our position for sometime and particularly with the drop in performances with illness and fatigue it would be a great step forward to bring new faces in.

Yes Doug should have had a couple lined up ready to go

FL wouldn't say anyway and it doesn't mean Doug is not working on deals. We will find out soon enough what Doug has managed to do.

I think it is Dean Austin who works on them, Doug just rubber stamps them from a financial point of view.

But because it is January the selling club drags deals out to induce panic and drive the price up. It could be the end of January before we get targets over the line.

Hope it’s not left to the last day with Doug saying we tried but just couldn’t get a deal done.

So do I but January is a difficult window. More teams want to buy than sell and they want as much as they can get if they do sell

Then he should have brought in some more bodies in the summer. I doubt Lampard was attracted here without the promise of investment yet here he is after two windows still working with Robins team.

Lampard cant be happy with that and failure to bring in at least a couple of quality reinforcements is going to cause issues.

It is so easy isn't it, just pick the phone up. Many transfers these days take more than one window.

We are too, Franks reputation is rebuilding quickly.

We will bring in 2-3 more this window.

The club want him to sign a new improved deal. Doesn’t sound like there are issues to me ….

I'd be staggered if we don't bring in 2-3 new players, nothing was ever going to be announced on day 1, especially with a game taking place.

We're on the cusp and need some help getting over the line. Lampard has continuously commented about the size of the squad for months, if the matter isn't addressed he'll be seriously pissed.

I'm sure they are working their nuts off to get deals done, but they have to be the right ones.

It is on champ man. No reason for it to be more difficult in real life. Just take over the other team and sell yourself whoever you want on the cheap. Easy.
