Absolutely fantastic point given an utterly appalling performance (one of the many I’ve predicted in the next half dozen games)
Grimes limitations when he’s pressed outside of the normal luxury of time he has largely been used to has come as a disappointment.
PUSB.
That's poor assessment of Grimes.
Often under pressure this season & found a way to find a pass.

I think people would be more at peace with an away draw if we'd won at home. But we can't let one loss to Ipswich upset the cart. A point away against Brum is still a good point. It's the FA cup I worry about - play the B team I assume?

Absolutely. If there’s a game to sacrifice, it’s that one. An actual free hit, unlike all the other apparent free hits according to people on here.

Didn't have the bodies to go on and Smash them like earlier in the season.
Anyway should have got Bamford on the short deal, Frank's been badly let down IMO.
Maybe mate, but if we go and get someone outrageous like that George and Evan Ferguson, all will be forgiven.

We’re not losing and are essentially 10 points clear.
The nerves (which are always there tbf) are starting to tingle a little more though.

It's a marathon not a sprint. Even if we Ipswich close the gap further if we go into February 5-6pts clear of second I'll be happy

Yep exactly this…was saying the same to my son earlier.

The other thing is if Ipswich are the only side to find form we’ll be grand if we can continue eek out points here and there. I couldn’t care less if they overtake us…as long as it’s only them.

At this rate we will be very lucky to going into next month like that.
It feels worrying but if we beat Brum and Leicester back to back then all of a sudden it's piss the league vibes again

That said I be happy with two draws if someone can make Ipswich drop points in one game

Their old Blackburn boys combined pretty well to score, though Tyres Campbell had a faily good spell and Costello always gives us something to think about.

Jeez, the meltdown on here is as seismic as it is ridiculous. We’ve got a point no? With a small squad ravaged by illness and playing every three days. The vitriol towards Brau is embarrassing. Our full backs have been Error City all season with a free pass. Wright gets dogs abuse but is still well up in the scoring charts. We’re well clear going into January and will add 2-3.

Also no guarantee that Ipswich do keep winning even though they look strongest team for sure.
We will be dropping points massively over the next half dozen games (that doesn’t mean defeat, by the way for any of you ‘bed wetters’ that may be reading)
But whilst we undoubtedly do, Bitchwich Clown need to correspondingly hit full tilt with maximum point haul.

We're in a better position for automatic promotion than we were before the game.

Take that thank you.

As I said before the game, I was worried when I saw the team sheet. If it's not injury or ilness then those changes were crazy when we are trying to get back to winning ways after Ipswich. So it proved. We were hopeless today. Had we not got off to a flyer it would have been a defeat at a poor side. This is pause for concern right now. I'm still giving Lampard some credit due to ilness in the camp but his team selection today away from home was just off for me.
We need to pick up and get back on it fast before lethargy sets in, confidence is lost and our momentum grinds to a halt. Paint today however you want but the fact is we have looked a shaddow of our normal selves the last few games, and that is alarming. Some players are not performing well such as Wright and I hope Doug King has a his chequebook at the ready to bring in some top talent to get us over the line.
Positives today, though few were Milan looked over his illness, Thomas is back, Simms wanting it more and EMC saved for another day!

Wasn’t buying into the narrative of players not trying etc.

But the performance today was actually very evident of that. Lack of ideas, lack of drive, lack of ambition.

Two games in a row we’ve looked low in confidence and devoid of ideas.
Also lack of quality. Lati,Eccles,Brau,Allen…..

If Brau hadn't made the mistake! We would have won the match! If FL had bought on Bidders instead of Brau no way that guy would have got away with the ball. Might have got a red card but no way would the Charlton player got away with the ball. Loads of ifs and buts! But we got a point away from home and its one more point away from Hull and Mboro😉👍

Lost 3 games all season so far and two of those against Ipswich, just think on about Fulham in their promotion season they lost to City twice. Once we get past the Brum game its the FA cup and we can certainly play some youngsters. 10 days rest for most of the players will give them a shot in the arm plus if we sign someone as well

If in doubt, Row Z it instead of being brave with the soft misdirected header. Failing that, once Kelman is looking like beating you, chop him down and take one for the team. Campbell was all over MvE as well.

We weren’t brilliant, but again we come away with a point, so somebody up there loves us .
Just a criticism from me ;
Not physical enough .
Throw ins & corners need to be changed , as so predictable

Especially the long throw we make it too easy for the keeper at times.

2 points on this:

1. He uses Dasilva as an out-ball a hell of a lot. I don’t think he trusts giving the ball to his replacements in the same way.
2. Our lack of movement today was frightening. Needed people to be offering for the ball; instead many just stood watching.

Also, watched their goal back. Ok Brau makes a pig’s ear of it. Grimes probably reacts too late to track the run. But Kitching was the 2nd furthest forward during the attacking play immediately prior, and then it was he/Allen that were making the recovery runs and got back to our box as the shot came. What the fuck were all of the others playing at? Kitch is hardly quick, same with Allen. Surely someone could have made more of an effort?
