Always signals the start of Xmas for me! One of my favourite days of the year

SkyBet are offering a market without Littler so I have stuck a tenner on Gian Van Veen at 9/1, if anyone fancies a flutter

GVV can look amazing 1 day and awful the next, same with the other tall dutch guy Nilman(sp)

Same here, Christmas can now begin!

Looking forward to seeing Van Vern as hearing good things about him. Can’t see past Littler for the title though.

You been before? You will have a good laugh, although Ally Pally is a bit of a nightmare to get to and from
Are you in the hospitality area? Heard good things

You will enjoy it, but having been a lot myself the atmosphere isn't as good as it used to be! It is about the only sport I don't have an English bias in, there are Scottish Welsh and Irish players I like and I find the booing of them that is commonplace these days a bit unnecessary tbh

Just back home. What a day! We were on the hospitality tables next to the player walk on walkway. The 'boring, boring tables' as the rest of the crowd were singing!

Brilliant atmosphere...couldn't recommend it enough.

I defo want to go back next year with my mates in fancy dress!

And Dermot Gallagher was on the end of our table. Looked miserable most of the day but caught him looking happier at the end of the day!

The woman he's chatting to, her dad was the man who invented/came up with the TV programme Bullseye in the 80s.

What a match that just was!!!
Fantastic story - The fella hadn't picked up a dart until three years ago, struggled for sponsors to get over and survived match darts and took the World No. 18 out! The Darts equivalent of Cool Runnings

Van Gerwen only just limped over the line against another bloke no one had heard of as well

Some great matches yesterday, the best being Justin Hood v Danny Noppert.

Bunting now gone aswell. Hillbilly remained composed despite the big out shots from Bunting and got over the line. Feel it may well be a case of after the Lord Mayors show though after that.

Anyone see the nonce into he crowd who held up a sign saying "Aspinall, can I date your daughter?". His oldest daughter is about 14. 🤦‍♂️

I thought he was just fired up. Think hed been given a bit from the crowd and gave a bit back. Grateful game from both of them.
“Boo all you like-your ticket money is paying my wages”
Be interesting to see the reception he gets in the next game. So far the crowd has always been with him and rightly in awe of his talent since he burst onto the scene 2-3 years ago.
He could do with asking Gezzy how hard it can be when the crowd turns.

Really enjoyed the darts this year! Since I’ve got a dodgy stick I’ve had the opportunity to watch it more and it’s really growing on me!

Lacked class I thought. Don’t like the kid anyway.
saying he wasn’t bothered but he was properly bothered by it.
if he thought it’d help the reception at the next match he’s wrong.

I don’t care that he’s 18 - I think there’s a way to be and he seems to get away with it. Luke Humphries had been a great example as no1 and world champ and how he speaks/acts etc but he got booed every week on his walk-ons 🤷🏻‍♂️
Doesnt say to the crowd “thanks for buying my BMW for me”.

Littler is petulant because he’s an 18 year lad…

We thrust these people into the limelight with all the baggage that comes with it and very often, they have no training to deal with it.

The pre-match show today there was a BDO champ who said he was ‘the best in world’ in a post-match interview reckons he just said in a spur of the moment thing with all the adrenaline.

Footballers have press officers to protect them a bit, not that it helped Salah in recent weeks.

I didn’t even think he was getting that much grief!

The crowd were just singing ‘Robby Cross, Robby Cross, Robby, Robby Cross’ which, let’s be honest, is just an easy song for a pissed up crowd to sing.

His little hissy fit won’t do him any favours and the crowd will definitely be on his back from here on in but as Mucca says the lad is only 18 and had all the adrenaline of winning the match pumping through him.

We do, as a country, have a weird obsession of loving the underdog and trying to knock down the best sports people we have.
