Simms had kicked into action and was immediately dropped once Wright was fit.

Whilst I agree to some extent, he is historically patchey. As is Wright. BTA being our top scorer, by one goal after being out for 2 months is a crazy stat.

Feels like we are winning games with 10 men sometimes. Which is fine over short periods.

Yes he can be patchy, but when he's in a good patch it's daft to drop him. Everyone says he's a confidence player and his confidence would have been high. He then he gets dropped for a bloke who hasn't looked like scoring for months and was coming back from injury.
IMO that's not going to get the best out of him.

I agree. Yesterday was back to square one with Simms. Not holding the ball, first touch not great, not timing jumps etc. It's clear Frank prefers Haji when fit but Haji is equally ineffective when not scoring.

If we get a win against Ipswich Monday I think the priority might change from "Let's get over the line" to "What do we need for next season"
Positions we recruit might stay the same but a better quality of player looked at.

The Manneh talk seems to have gone quiet, wonder if it’s still in the pipeline?

Let's be honest neither Simms or Wright are going to cut the mustard in the prem if we go up.

Galbraith. He looked v good. My Swansea mate has been raving about him for a while.

He’s been looked at by lots of clubs but there is a concern that his small physique won’t cope the higher up the pyramid he goes.

We saw some of that yesterday I think …. Great composure on the ball, makes passing look easy but in the second half EMC was simply too powerful for him.

That’s surely been the planning after October surely.

Given Ipswich’s poor away record, I don’t expect to lose on Monday and can’t see them catching us up. Even if we lose on Monday, we’d have only dropped 7 points at home all season.

Yeah, I was going to add that EMC had him on toast defensively. Looked better in more advanced positions.

I think back to square one is a bit harsh, showed a lot of effort and harying thought he played the team game well.

Yea he’s never a right back. But so comfortable on the ball. Lovely to watch.
