I agree but what comes first? Trying to survive in the Prem or having Prem facilities.

We recently spent a reported 40m on purchasing the CBS. We can only guess where the money came from and if it needs paying back.

Where is the source we paid £40m - I can’t see any indications what was paid

Leeds?

If we kept our best players and brought in quality where needed we would be in a good position if we went straight back down. Pur 1st team and reserve players would be better than we have now.

Leeds were a parachute club. Totally different proposition to your first time up like Forest and Sunderland.

True, although I have a feeling the club might be sold if we do get promoted.
It would make sense for Doug to sell then as the club and facility would be at its highest value, and he might look to cash out and let someone with deeper pockets take over.
(No idea who's out there though, maybe American or Saudi investors?)

We can only guess what would happen next. It looks like we've had extra investment so how much control does he still have? Are these people waiting to take control after promotion?

That's all for the future. Not too worried about playing a guessing game when we've still got promotion to finalise. Bring in a rich owner = give it a go otherwise be very wise.

The other weakness with EMC going into the Premier League is he is so one footed and lacks skill in the one on one. Okay he is strong but players in the Premier League have a lot of upper body strength. I am not going to write him off but I think he will struggle, or at least on the wing. I think his future is through the middle as a striker.

He's very good with his back to goal so there might be something in that

Looking at his strengths, he reminds me more of Cyril Regis rather than a natural winger.

This. It would be a big surprise if Doug didn't sell as soon as promotion is secured.

Fantastic today. He has stepped up in an amazing way just when we really needed some one up front to do that. With injuries, players not being fully fit, and illness rampaging through the camp. All credit Mason-Clark the last three games. Been pretty much unbeatable and has stuck in three priceless goals. Just fantastic

What a prick thing to say.

EMC was quality today, m.o.m by a mile, but that's why hes so frustrating, can look like a top PL player one game, and disapear up his own arse the next.

The challenge for him now is to keep today's level of performance up until the end of the season.

Games like today make me giggle when I remember the posters on here saying king should have backed out of the deal rather than agree to the initial loan back for half a season to Peterborough 😂

His short term contract at SU runs out next week, if Lampard wants him, he can go back in for him on Jan 1st.

If we dont go for him in Jan we will know it was bollocks.
We might have wanted him at the time, but we have way more options now

Bamford up top again for Sheffield, think we should have gone with the opinion of the manager!
thing is he doesn't start for us today if he'd signed so that's more of a statement on the issues at Sheffield United to be fair.
