Don’t they have a lot of injuries in midfield at the moment? Not a lot Rowett can do, intrigued to know how the Oxford fans feel about that.

Haven't Oxford got big plans for a new stadium? They must have money from somewhere
16,000 seater and with a fourth stand - That is all they need really, right next to Oxford Parkway station so this one won't be so bloody difficult to get to

I am glad they got the go ahead as the Kassam really is a miserable place to go and watch your football

Speaking of do you reckon its a coincidence they’re in for Castledine who’s a similar sort of player to Mehmeti? Could he be off in January?
It's a possibility, maybe their last chance to get some money. That said it these situations it usually serves the player better to fully run their contract down and then having a larger choice of clubs and probably a bigger wage to offset the lack of transfer fee.

Thats very true but potentially DK, DA and co could tempt him with a move to us? Was really good first half in the game we played against them, lost his head second half though

Well we were rumoured 10m+ on Rak Sakyi summer deadline day, and we have the Sheaf money, also were rumoured 10m+ on Hughes all summer. You never know if he was the only business of January I’d call it a success
Hard to value Clarke. Clearly an excellent player at this level but he did pretty much nothing in the Prem which really puts a cap on that value and would put me off wanting to spend huge amounts on him. He's certainly not worth what Ipswich paid for him imo.

Patrick Bamford 3 goals in 7 games. Does make it seem mad why we didn’t just take the deal till end of Jan for depth like Sheff Utd did. They have good strikers in their team and he’s displaced them all and took the starting lineup spot.
I assume he will stay with them till end of the season but now is attracting interest from MLS. Could just be his agent drumming up interest so he gets a good contract with the blades, can’t imagine he’d do an Andy Carroll and leave them in Jan

Why? It makes no sense as he wouldn't be playing here

Not often i'll take the side of Sunderland but saw some Blues fans talking about signing Chris Rigg and i think the comments gave me brain rot, i mean, "growing global profile" ffs! These lot are genuinely the worst fans in the EFL, the most deluded, the most stupid and seem to be enjoying being some sort of Temu Wrexham. Being in the same league as them is going to be unbearable.

I'd like to think this has had more than a few hoofs on the relevant message board by now...🤣
I'm far from taking the side of Sunderland usually, but Scooby-Doo himself would have better insight than the bloke who's adopted his name.🤪

I suppose you’re right but if he could be the difference at this level is it worth it, and to have him as a squad player in the Prem and with the chance of coming back down we’d have him in the Championship again? Its just thinking on all possibilities could even be style of play at Ipswich that prevented him showing his quality

The only thing i got wrong was the bit about being in the same league as them being unbearable. It's actually been quite enjoyable watching them get regularly humbled and have the sudden realisation that they've spunked a lot of their funds on absolute shite including their zero goal Japanese superstar Kyogo.

He was pretty anonymous in the prem last year. I'm not confident he's that standard of player, so to pay £10m + probably a hefty ~4 year contract doesn't make sense to me.

Yeh its difficult, how would you value someone who's a very good Championship player but who has been tried in the Prem and didn't cut it? Maybe £10 million at the start of the season when you are trying to build a team to go up would be fair, but where we are currently it does feel a bit like those funds could be used more wisely.

Be amazed if Ipswich sanctioned a deal to a direct promotion rival
It depends where both clubs are, when getting towards the back end of Jan.

At the moment one has a possibility of autos, almost guaranteed to make the playoffs as a minimum, whereas the other has just a possibility of making the playoffs. If this continues it could be a tactical maneuvre by Ipswich, using a player who isn't a nailed on starter for them at present, to have the Blades strengthened for games against say Hull, Boro, Cov and Preston, to boost their chances in a roundabout way.

Naturally I want Ipswich to have dropped to about 4th/5th and be a nice 10 points or so adrift of 2nd by then, but I have a feeling they'll probably be still more in the mix than that, unfortunately.

Ipswich away from home are relatively shite which seems to be ignored every time they win a couple of games for some reason. They really need to pick that up if they are to overturn the points Boro have on them, nevermind the points Cov have on them.

On the contrary, you got nothing wrong at all in your summary.

The deluded opinion of delusion displayed on the attachment in the other hand...Dear oh dear.
