What impressed me so much about yesterday was how Woolfy and Lati stepped up and into the leadership roles of Bobby and Kitch and it then got me thinking

Especially with Dasilva and Haji both playing their 100th games for the club.

Who do people identify with as the player that epitomises the Coventry spirit in this current team?

My two penneth

Grimes but then he’s only been in the team for about 40 games or so. He’s quietly massively efficient never gets too overly excited or mad when we concede

Mve clearly the clown who does get massively over excited

Bobby is for me the true leader in the team and you feel he would run through a wall for any of his team mates and smile about it

Rushworth coming into his own so calm and so brilliant he was the one calming Frank down and moving him away after the game. Again though he’s on loan and has only played 20 odd games for us

I suppose ultimately the leaders are Frank and Joe to enable a 10 man team finding with Kkh, Lati, wolf, brau, Bidwell, Allen to play with such passion and fire and no little skill it obviously comes from their ability to engender a sense of togetherness and belief in the overall team and club

Who are your leaders who epitomise Coventry city at the moment?

For me Mason Clarke is starting to flourish. That fist when he was being stretched off against Stoke and the goal celebration against Bristol City shows that he cares and shows winning mentality.

I remember seeing the expression on Liam Kelly's face as he was about to lead the team out vs. Boro in the second leg at their place and thinking we had nothing to worry about. Grimes looks the same. He's quietly made an enormous difference to the attitude of the squad IMO.

Bobby is a totally committed player you want in your team, I'm not sure he's a leader though. Too much of a joker.
Grimes is the only standout leader.

The wolf showed signs yesterday of it. Hitting Rushworth with a slap on the chest after he made a save, roaring when a late offside was given, and he was giving it large in the scrap after.

I also enjoyed Haji getting involved. He's so so so laid back, too much at times so was good to see.

We've got them all over the pitch. JDS is secretly a huge player in this squad. You can see from the unseen training videos he's got a persona about him.

And when you hear grimes talking after a game, hes a manager in the making

There are many leaders in the team, and across the management. It is a team of winners.

Despite some comments that 'having a good captain was not important', since our last one left, and we implemented a proper one, we seem a lot more resilient and tougher. We don't seem to shit the bed, and you always think we can bounce back if we concede a goal. The amount of balls we have is encouraging, as is the organisation.

For me Kitching is the one, with players like Bobby, Rudi, MvE and Grimes falling into like mini catagories of different types of leaders

I think what we’re seeing at the moment is this squad is absolutely united in the goal and vision. First 11 or not, they are completely with each other and the team spirit is phenomenal. That only comes through time and shared experience, whilst we all expected a lot of turnover in the summer, its really looking like now that keeping them together and sprinkling with magic like rushworth was 100% the right thing to do and is paying dividends.

An important thing to note going into January, its clear we need to add a couple to bolster depth (3/4 academy boys on the bench yesterday) but they have to be the right people to add to the overall effectiveness of the team on and off the pitch.

I do love this at the moment. The WBA and Charlton games when we conceded there was absolutely no negative reaction on the pitch. We just go again with complete confidence we’ll score.
I 100% felt it in the stands, both games i sat there thinking we WILL win this, its inevitable

The best description of one of our players on here was, 'Brad Collins doesn't look like a footballer, he looks like a man who would try to sell you mastiff puppies in a flat-roofed pub.'

No idea wh'os post it was, but it proper made me laugh.

I always thought we were a bit soft as a collective group, a bit nice. Even with Fadz, Vik and Adi on the side it was a calm group. In my opinion yesterday showed another difference between the management and coaching styles of the two coaching groups.

FL did start that and i wonder if he did it knowing it was a perfect situation to see and show the togetherness of the group. It shows inside they will fight for each other and outwardly that they cant be bullied as we have been before. FL will use adversity to grow strength within, we can overcome, injuries, suspensions, illness, refs big decisions, going behind in games and us being the hunted as motivation to play with that fear of losing something they all have fought to gain is not an option.

If FL picked his time to do this its risky with the league but could be a touch of genius. It never hurts to show fans you are passionate and that you will defend the cause. Fans are really starting to love this club again and watching them at the end yesterday will not harm one bit.

FL did start that and i wonder if he did it with a touch of trying to find out about the group. Perfect time when your backs are against the wall to use that fight at the end to show togetherness. He will do the same woth the refs and be in the changing room telling the players its the world against us. If it is deliberately done, its genius and makes the group closer and the fans feel that all the support, cost and effort is worth it.
