Fed up of years of worrying about 'tricky fixtures', 'bogey teams' and teams who should 'cause us more problems than others'.

Enough already!

We're Coventry City and we're absolutely smashing this years Championship and EVERY team should be fearing us. The first time in my 40 or so years as a Cov fan that I can say that.

So no...I won't be taking a draw and thinking that's a good result, thank you very much.

We're going to Portman Rd and we're going to come away with a 2-0 win. Torp and Simms.

Let's do this 💪🏻

So just to clarify, you’re saying a draw against a parachute payment team, away from home, would not be a good result?

Just wanted to check.
An acceptable result considering the table. But a draw a good result?

In our last 11 games we've won 10 lost 1. The game we lost we had 3 of our 4 defenders missing. 30 points out of 33.

The last 11 games for Ipswich have been 5 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats. That's 18 points from 33.

Out of them games they've only played at home 4 times. 1 win, 2 draws and a defeat. The defeat was 0-3 against Charlton.

Our away form isn't too tatty. We've won 6 out of our last 7 away games. Our last 2 away games were against the sides in 2nd. Middlesbrough had excellent home form before our game. Our only defeat all season was the other away game where we had 3 of our 4 defenders missing.

They like to have possession but are slow going forward. They are prone to mistakes at the back. My only worry is which players are fit to play but we now have Rudoni back and he is looking good.

To me a draw wouldn't be a bad result but not a good one either.

In any other season, if a side was 12 points clear of 3rd id think that was done and dusted, so not sure why I keep thinking that it’s nothing

Its the being chased element i dont like, far less stressful being the chaser 😂

I have a feeling that all football fans feel like this to an extent. I think especially for a team who has waited so long to get back to the top tier after being there for so long before relegation. It feels impossible that it could finally happen after 25 years. I can’t help but feel nervous and anxious before each game thinking that this is going to be the start of the unravelling. I feel like it again for this one. But, we keep winning, we keep playing well. We might be able to do this….

That free scoring Fulham side still lost 10 (including twice against CCFC). For us to do the same that means losing a third of our remaining games which is quite a big margin for error.

This is our toughest game of the season. Ipswich are a stronger team with more quality in depth than Stoke and Boro.

We shouldn't fear them and we shouldn't play for the draw, that never works out well. The team will be going for the win but if that doesn't happen, I'll be happy with a point. Another game done where (arguably) our biggest rival for autos hasn't gained on us.

To think we could be 19 points clear of them at EOP Saturday!

Does anyone know if the yellow card totals reset after the Ipswich match? If so then Thomas, Wright, DaSilva, Torp and Kitching need to avoid a yellow or they would be suspended presumably for the Preston match?

People are saying he’s done his shoulder cos he talked to Lampard and went down the tunnel and was holding it while he was on. Nothing confirmed.

I'd bet he's needs the op, doesn't mean he'll be out this week or even this aeasonbut at some point he's going to need it doing

Ideal time is to win the league at a canter, rest him for the last 3/4 games and give him the whole summer to rest it.

Hopefully we sign quality that means he isnt needed for start of next year straight away.

He carried about 500 advent calendars into Ryton the other day, unaided. Although he wasn't in training gear, so mixed messages there.....

Im not 100% but that was before the Charlton game. Id definitely take a point with no injuries and yellow cards, if offered now.

I fancy Blackburn to get something tonight but Ipswich at home are a slightly different prospect. I have pretty much said for the last 3-4 games that we'll lose and I've been proven wrong every time! So I have no idea, head says 2-1 Ipswich, heart says 2-0 Cov.

They've won 3, drew 2, lost 1 of their last 6 home games.
We're won 5 lost 1 of our last 6 away.

Charlton spanked them 3-0 in their own back yard.
