I'm thinking Stoke and Boro' away. This is another one. Ipswich improving and climbing the table, but a blip on Saturday at Oxford suggest they are not that good. Their striking department seems to be their issue. Still think they are a strong side but we have to believe we are the real deal and can win here. I sense Ipswich and Southampton will come to the fore and be our chasers, so not losing here would be ideal. We have been conceding goals lately. Wolfy got some minutes Saturday and I think FL was thinging about 5 at the back with Wolfy coming in for this one. Interesting dynamic to see their former CB on the opposite team, and he would probably have the game of his life to prove they should not of let him go. Lots of scenario's.
I want to think we will win it.

Take 2 points or more from this and the home game however that comes.

Can't see us stopping them scoring a couple of goals to be fair, they are slow at the back so hopefully our forwards carry on creating.Think we need to sit in and play a low block and catch them on the break.Take a point all day a tough month coming up if we are still top and 10 clear I will start believing this is our year.

Fed up of years of worrying about 'tricky fixtures', 'bogey teams' and teams who should 'cause us more problems than others'.

Enough already!

We're Coventry City and we're absolutely smashing this years Championship and EVERY team should be fearing us. The first time in my 40 or so years as a Cov fan that I can say that.

So no...I won't be taking a draw and thinking that's a good result, thank you very much.

We're going to Portman Rd and we're going to come away with a 2-0 win. Torp and Simms.

Let's do this 💪🏻

Kipré really struggled playing out from the back and in general they were very prone to being hit on the break. Game is there to be won if we can cut out some of the sloppiness at the back.

So just to clarify, you’re saying a draw against a parachute payment team, away from home, would not be a good result?

Just wanted to check.

Forgive my ignorance but it’s crazy that he (potentially) can’t play for 2 weeks because he took a ball to the face.
There’s an route for elite athletes
A series of checks to be done before allowing full training and then full games
It saves lives so the experts tell us or shortened lives
Pretty sensible really

You get a hit on the temple, you can get a concussion. He stayed on the pitch for a few minutes, so the concussion protocols would have been triggered by a professional assessment.
If you look how Eccles was tested on the pitch when he went down with a head injury, you can see the simple tests that have to be passed. Head injuries are serious business.

Thanks for checking. No, I wouldn't.

At best, they'd be 13 points behind us. Currently 16 points.

They've won just over half the amount of games we have.

They've lost 4 times the amount of games we have.

They've only scored 60% of the goals we have.

They've won less than half of their games at home - we've won 2/3s of our away matches.

3 of their last 4 home games, they've played WBA, Watford and Charlton. They've taken 5 points from those 3 games, combined score 2-4.

3 of our last 4 home games, we've played WBA, Watford and Charlton. We've taken 9 points from those 3 games, combined score 9-4.

We've got 4 top scorers in the top 11 scorers (listed with ties) in the league - they've got 2 in the top 20 with 6 goals each.

They've only got 4 players who've scored more than 1 goal this season. We've got 10.

So yeah, they can stick their parachute payment up their backside. A draw would be an ok result. Everything points to us winning and I'm here for it.

Hope that clarifies. Thanks again for checking though.

Most teams go to Ipswich and sit back.
We cant and wont do that which will their attacking players a chance.

Think Asante being missing in a weird way is good thing...as we have only one fully fit striker ..meaning an extra midfielder Eccles will be playing.

MVE, Thomas, Kitching, Da Silva
Grimes
Saka, Eccles , Torp, EMC
Simms

Haji/Rudi impact subs.

Think Rudoni starts for me if his shoulder is okay. He did like 80 mins or so on Saturday and will have had a week of just training.

First thing is hopefully stay tight at the back-we have started to concede the odd silly goal/goals again and need to arrest that first and foremost. Failing that-let’s out score them! 3-2 to us. 😀
