One of everyone’s fit (bar BTA) and one of no one is (Rudi Haji Saka BTA).

What do we think both interesting problems.

Rushworth
MvE Thomas Kitching Dasilva
Torp Grimes
KKH Eccles EMC
Simms

or

Saka Rudi EMC
Simms

For me. Haji can work back from the bench. Eccles unlucky to lose out but Rudi so obviously wants to play in the 10 wherever you put him.

I'm not worried about the team we put out against them. They're not quick at the back and are slow going forward. Perfect opponents for the way we play.

What slightly worries me is who's fit enough for the bench.

Both look about right.

Im always worried. Until we’re mathematically champions. Then I’ll start worrying about relegation.
I just can’t see us all of a sudden becoming a bad team. We’ve more or less secured playoffs already because we’d have to average less than 1 PPG.

Our next rivals Boro are tracking at 1.8 PPG which is below the typical run rate of 2. It’s also worth pointing out that we’ve beaten 2nd, 3rd and 4th away from home.

AI slop and the bookies put our promotion odds at nearly 90% because the teams most likely to catch us up will need to put in huge winning streaks to catch us up.

We’re performing at a level that’s slightly better than the norm which is v impressive in its own right. Our ‘luck’ is that the chasing pack are well below the required run rate atm and the next top 3 teams don’t have the underlying data to really push on and catch us atm.

Yeah, for us to miss autos 2 things have to happen, we have to go to absolute shit and 2 teams have to start performing way above anything any other team apart from us have shown so far this season.

It could happen, but it's not very likely. Though I still get the fear thinking about it!

The Top 4 last season could barely separate Leeds, Burnley and Sheff U until about March when Sheff U lost to Leeds and Burnley.

Conversely, we’ve beaten the 2nd to 4th away, play 7th and 5th away in quick succession. By Blues away, we’ll have played nearly all the top half away from home. To put a bit more context on what you said, our away form would have to collapse against bottom half teams and home form collapses against the top half.

I just can’t see this happening even if we probably have to accept at some point there will be a slowdown. If that doesn’t happen in December, there’s no obvious run that’s concerning afterwards.

Not in the slightest, we have a much better team than them.
On the balance of things, they have better players but feel our team and team dynamic is much stronger.

Lampard may even be a better tactician than McKenna too which I did not expect to say this season.

I've been saying for weeks theyre over rated challengers.
Still be a tough game and one we could lose but I don't think they'll put together the sort of run needed to overhaul us.
I don’t think they are, they’ll finish Top 3, Boro, Stoke, Millwall and PNE are all over performing and that isn’t likely to be sustained over 46.

I’m less fearful of them after watching them against Oxford and knowing they have to play Blackburn as well before us. Would really like us to keep a clean sheet after failing to do so since the Stoke match.

Ipswich have apparently not won after going behind for a long time now according to their fan forum. Think it will be key to holding them at bay and win like we did at Stoke. If not, if we can get a quick fire double like we did at Boro, I hope we show some defensive solidarity to not let them back in.

Yeah, a little, but based on injury and maybe tiredness/carrying knocks etc.

It’s this that’s always worried me. Injuries starting to pile up those who aren’t injured looking tired. It’s where the parachute clubs start to put the sorts of runs Southampton and Sheff Utd have started putting together and those of us with small squads drop off.

I agree they bit overated and unlikely to put form together to overtake us

However I can see them beating us on the day

They have a few very good players but there's a lot of meh in that team as well, for example the keeper and back 4 are 3 ex meh baggies and a LB who is really good attacking but meh defending,

I’m confident we’ll get a draw at least. They will be under more pressure to get a win and that plays into our hands imo.

But finishing top 3 doesn't necessarily mean they'll threaten us
I’m confident that even if injuries pile up this month, we’ll get to January and sign a few players to get over the line. The depth of the bench does worry me a bit. Having 4 defenders on the bench is an obvious sign that’s the squad could be stronger.

I seem to recall the keeper being good at the baggies but haven't really bothered researching if he's been ok this year or not
