We would have been better off with Robins (2 Viewers)

I think being top of the league helps but Lampard has repeatedly spoken about how lucky he is to have such a good dressing room to work with and I think that work started with Robins and Viveash and Badlan in L2. I think his biggest challenge will be finding similar characters of PL quality we can afford.

The idea that the foundations for what we're now seeing wasnt laid by Robins is fucking mental.

But Lampard has sent things into overdrive.

The current team spirit is mostly down to Lampard, IMO.
Team spirit's generally down to winning, but from the start of Robins' tenure to now, having a good dressing room is something that's been spoken of by a lot of our players, past and present.

The recruitment team clearly pay a lot of attention to a player's personality as well as their quality. None of our players come across as twats, or seem entitled, and that can't be coincidental.

I don’t disagree at all, I just think Lampard has taken everything up a few levels.

The team was so lowly this time last year. The players were empty, had inexperienced coaching staff and a manger who needed a change.

What you have to say is that without the amazing foundation built by Robins et al-especially the recruitment and most importantly the team spirit-Lampard could not have accelerated our progress as quickly as him and his team has.

It’s not a turnaround more a fast forward.

I don't agree. It's night & day.
C'mon it's a turnaround of huge proportions.
47 Goals etc etc etc

Its a point to say that people say and predict things that sometimes are wrong , including you

A striker is definitely not a priority right now unless we sell or a large injury happens .. your point was about lack of goals . Our strikers have scored 23

You were wrong , like we all are at times
Don't bet on it, I want to see Haji signing a contract extension or not and we look to move in the market, just my feeling ATM.

I'd be suprised if Wright signs a new deal before next t summers world cup.
If he does well in the tournament his value will be at its highest and he will be in the last year of his contract.

But haven't the club offered him one now, there was speculation Leeds were interested in taking him in January?

Its been reported that we have entered talks with him for a new contract, but he hasn't signed anything as yet.
And why would he? If he has any sense he will wait and see what division we are in next season, and then see what the world cup does for him.

By next summer he could be a premier league player who had an excellent world cup, and his value would be more than twice what it is now.

I'll be honest I think it's affecting his form, I think it's the in uncertainty, I get that he is in a position where he might want to wait but I don't think that helps us with the project .

His form definately dropped after the last international break, it could of been fatigue and traveling etc, but that was also around the time that Leeds were reported to be showing an interest, so maybe he has been unsettled by the interest.

Whatever the reason Frank needs to have a word and make sure his head is in the right place. After all if he loses his place to Simms he might miss out on the world cup and any potential big money transfer.

We could try a cheeky loan bid for Isak from Liverpool....wouldn't want to buy him though 🤔
