Robbie Simpson I can't even remember, didn't Birchall get a couple of caps for Bermuda ?
Simpson did his hamstring just as he was getting accustomed to the Championship.
Think he ended up playing league one & two till the end of his career.

A great comeback today, but is Torp now suspended as I think he now has 5 yellows?

That’s his 4th afaik

I really can’t be bothered to get into arguments but we need a better left sided defender - whatever MVEs limitations are he always can recover position with pace. Dasilva can’t. He was exposed badly all of the first half. We can’t concede two like we did and win games all the time.

The left side of the team is far worse than the right. If we could find a player in January who is better than Dasilva and use him like we do Allen we’d be in a far better position.

Dasilva was outstanding in the second half and has shown this season he is one of the best LBs in the division.

The clearest example of how good and important he is was at Wrexham. Bidwell is lightyears behind Dasilva and yet he'd still walk into many teams in this league.

Great resilience shown today, we could have folded after going 2-0 down but we stuck to our game and fought till we regained control.

I thought at times we could move it about quicker, sometimes the crosses are a little slow to come in, but you can't really complain too much when Tats sticks a cross like that in for Eccles.
I wish EMC would come in and shoot a bit more like that great attempt the keeper saved. He's clearly very capable and it would have been a great goal.

It felt like they were playing almost in anger / frustration before half time, partly because of the ref and also the handbags.
Channeled it well to get one back before half time.

Toss up between Torp and Sakamoto for MOTM for me today, i thought they were both great.
Shout out for Eccles too, although he sometimes looked a little out of position today, though i couldn't tell if he was meant to be playing the 8 or 10 role, his second half was really good. It was smart of him with the Molumby incident, he could have easily stayed on his feet but he was aware he was coming and used his head. Good header for his goal.

I think Simms led the line well, i was unsure as to how he would do with Wright having struggled for service in recent games, but i felt he imposed himself, ran the channels, got the deserved goal and almost another assist, unlucky for Torp, his technique is a beautiful thing.

Another win, great comeback. PUSB

Despite scoring and holding the midfield together, and getting their players sent off???
Notice how we lost momentum when he went off?

Some people are just utterly clueless.
Strong statement and an easy reply when we win so I’ll respect that as your opinion.

For the record I love Eccles and I only wrote my opinion (not saying I’m right, just an opinion).

But when another fellow Cov fan calls you clueless, you realise it’s them who are clueless and blinkered on someone else’s opinion.

We’re on the same side mate no need for personal insults 😉.

To me he's so similar in the final third, especially the way he strikes the ball towards goal, more prone to do the defensive role, although Torp is proving to be especially strong there as well this season.

Not that Im complaining as we won, but Rushworths kicking was a bit flakey today and caused a few near dramas. Maybe the wet ball didnt help. Such a good keeper though

We're overperforming our xG by more than anyone else.
Hull, Boro and Derby are all over performing their xG by 8, 7 and 6 points.

The underlying data has us as comfortably the best team in the division in terms of points, xG and even xGA (4th best).

The only sense that we’re over performing is that we’re more dominant than the actual xG which is a statistical norm at the top of the league. Over 46 games, teams will mostly be within a few places of the xG.

Apologies, should have been clearer-I was referring to goals scored versus xG.

Yeah, again i thought we might go on and look to punish them after going 3-2, but they did sit off a bit once we got control again. Always makes me a little nervous but i have to remind myself we are better at game management than times gone by.
Plus we do have a 3 game week, so can see why we sat off and made changes.

It is lovely. Really enjoying this season so far. All we can ask for is that they go out to win every game, and as you say, it's becoming a habit.

What the fuck were you watching
Tbf till the goal he wasn't v good and I imagine lampard would have taken him off around 60 mins mark if we still trailing

But second half he played really well

Like he said he has been in and out. Maybe he will start vs Boro. Good luck to him

Oh yeah we’ve scored some ridiculously low xG chances (basically all Torp’s goals).

Despite this, the xG we’ve created surpasses all teams by a significant margin, after us (34 xG), Southampton are on 29 xG. We’ve been an attacking juggernaut this season!

From the Boro board today, fair comment,:=

I'm convinced it's Coventry's year, they're scoring for fun and a lot of things keep falling their way.

Fair play to them, I don't have any issue with Coventry and they've done well to progress like they have.
