Echoing above as not going to happen.

Wrights having so far his best season for us, so on that point no but Piroe was the highest scorer in the league last season and do think he’d be a good replacement.

Think tho while we are so high the risk would be too high to let one of our best players go even if it was £10/15 million plus Piroe on a perm.
Exactly, if Simms is playing to a standard that someone will offer 15m in Jan then it's too big a risk to accept and risk the replacement even if it is Piroe doesn't work out.

Pay whatever they want in January, he’ll be playing for England in the years to come! Was our number 1 target all summer so don’t think we’ll have forgotten about him
I don't think they'd sell in Jan, they'll fancy a crack at the play offs. Agree we won't forget about this one though and wouldn't be at all surprised if we returned in the summer, assuming we've been promoted.

Only way anyone gets him in January as far as I can see is they massively over pay what Hull think he is worth.

Centre back isn’t a priority position in any case. Centre midfield and wide attacking players however, yes.

Tbh we don’t really need a CB right now. Kitching and Thomas seem a good pair.

If we go up we can look at Hughes but until then, think we’d had bigger priorities.
He’s the type of signing you’d make if we got promoted. We’ve got a good defensive record, Wolf and Lati as 3rd and 4th choice… barring something mental happening between now and Jan, there’s no pressing need for another.

The pressing needs are wide players where the injury risk increases the more minutes they play. Well, EMC more so than Sakamoto because the latter is a lot more durable. That said 3-4 wingers is a minimum requirement.

i'd say priority 1 is someone who can do a job as a 10, on the wings or as an 8
I know just the guy.

Did a job at number 10 for a while and is usually right wing.

I’d be trawling Europe right now for players who can come in January, proper players who can go straight in to the prem. not players who can get you promoted wasting money. I’d gamble because we might not be in this position again. I’d also try and temp Barry Bannan.

We dont currently have the money to sign ready made premier league players. We wouldnt be wasting money if they got us promoted to the riches of the premier league
