Sounds like complete and utter shit to me! But I do love a good conspiracy theory so fuck it! Let's run with it!

There was talk about this - alot of players in La Liga have armbandages (lemar etc) but when they play for spain they dont have them on....and it'll be literally night and day, barca game theyre on, international duty off, and first barca game back its back on again...

The general tenor of the thread was “everyone does it and no one will say anything cos it’ll ruin the sport”

Although Wright had a bandage on against Stoke, Wrexham and Sheff united.

Unless the theory is that they wear the bandage every week but don't always have the patches on underneath.

BTA wears one as well.

However, surely if it was the case then refs would be doing checks?

Performance enhancing bandages? Heard it all now.

So how do they work in respect of getting chances or a shot/header on target rather than off target? 🙄

When using illegal performance enhancing drugs. The best thing to do is it have them on you wrist in a big white bandage so everyone can see your using them. Or maybe thats the idea

Its all in plan site 👀

It's going to be something ridiculous boring isn't it. Something like those trackers players wear but they don't like to wear the bra so they strap it to their wrist instead and bandage over it, or it's easier to analyse player movements post match etc.

`Yeah wonder if it's those Whoop trackers. As dont you have to cover jewellery when playing. So could just be an over top way to cover it

Bandages containing illegal performance enhancing drugs. What a ludicrous story, absolute bollocks!!

Anyone know where I can get one ... ?

If they're not related to injury, it will be some sort of mumbo jumbo that people have started to believe makes the body function more efficiently in some way. A bit like those nasal strips that athletes wore in the 90s that were complete hokum.

Stimulating acupuncture sites or some such.

The idea that it might allow performance enhancing drugs to be administered in an undetectable way is laughable. If the body is metabolising a banned substance, then it will be detectable in tests.

No. Players use them as a support for slide tackles on their supporting arm Its been around for ages. Some players like Yamal use it as as "fashion" mind

It's clearly a push back by 'big shinpad' after Grealish etc. caused them stunning losses by bringing no shin protection into fashion. I reckon Sondico has secretly invested billions in 3M.
Used to get the piss taken out of me for wearing sondico shin pads back in the day. Never had a shattered shin though
