Something felt different while watching the game last night and I couldn't put my finger on it. Just watched the highlights and it clicked.

Am I right in thinking this was the first night game with the new floodlights?

Would've been the Luton cup game wouldn't it?

Listening to CWR on the way in last night Bailey and Guerney said DK has been interviewed in the morning to give some updates about the stadium. However, they filled the slot whining about ticket prices so never covered any stadium news, that I caught at least.

Was there anything interesting in the 8am King interview?

Now we know what the european nights will feel like, thought it might be I bit embarrassing but they nailed it, atmosphere dropped a little bit again but 2nd half was much better

Just having control of those lights is great.

Imagine the enemy coming on with the old lights, and someone tries the same, itll take 5minutes to come back on

Coventry Blaze used to try that. Players used to come skating out in the dark with a few spotlights. Looked good, but the only problem was they had to turn the floodlights off 15 minutes before the game started as they have to cool down before they could come back on.

So you'd be trying to find your seat in the dark!

The primitives playing before the West Brom game and King before Charlton, lieutenant pigeon Boxing Day 👍

For such an uncultured bunch we've given the world a fair bit of music haven't we?

Lieutenant Pigeon was a fair bit before my time, but they remind me of the sort of thing you see in the front room of the Christ the King club

I was told a few years ago by the ‘older lot’ that in the ‘70s/early ‘80’s if Mouldy Ol dough was on a jukey in a pub at an away game it would get repeat play.
A kind of pre Legion calling card 😏
