That was a great night at the CBS!

People can mock lights shows and fireworks etc but I loved it. I personally was jealous when Leicester had the opera singers do their thing at walkers stadium. It felt big time opposed to league 2 nights in empty stadiums. The smoke from fireworks made it look like a galatasaray game and loved the flags too, very serie a.

Atmosphere was good and at certain points so fucking loud.

Performance was it was decent if not spectacular. I told everyone around me Eccles needed to come off for emc and I like to think everyone in block 22 thought to themselves this guy is always right! Some credit to lampard too I don't want the focus to be on me.

Thomas kithcing grimes mve BTA we have so many cult heroes right now.

And an almost perfect night of results to boot

It's great to be a sky blue right now

Eccles was the only one that stood out as poor to me. Didn't press, didn't move forward into space and didn't do what we expect of someone in that position. Was he bad, no. But he wasn't the right fit for that spot and the way we play. I said after 25 minutes we needed to swap him for EMC and put BTA in the middle. Whats really pleasing is how quick Lamps made that change.

From my Sunday league days, I couldn't care I'm taking the shot on 🤣

You're hitting the goalie, and they're going up the other end and getting the equaliser.

Later, when you get out of the changing room showers, one of your new £100 trainers is suspiciously damp and warm. The other one is on the roof. 😁

A bit cat and mouse at Stoke. More pressure on them at home and trailing us in the league. Could be interesting.

Today was so important to win to show we dust down from a defeat and get back to it.

A win today take a bit of pressure of before Stoke as well. Regardless of the result we go into the international break in 1st.

After the break Rudoni will be back and we get closer to the Jan window. Get some extra talent in to push!

I didn't think he was particularly bad , he could've scored and set up a couple of chances first half . Think it was more a combination of him not quite at it and BTA not offering much out wide .
EMC had to come on and BTA looked much better centrally

I actually thought McCallum was arguably their best player tonight

Course he was. Big audition to be fourth choice LB here.

Meh. Win is the main thing, but people would be lying if they said it was comfortable. ‘Better team for the entirety of the second half’ is a stretch, we started looking scrappy again late on.
We aren't Brazil 1970 FFS
Playing badly and winning is the mark of a good side
And we started to look scrappy when they were throwing on attackers , it happens at every level

Radio induced confusion aside...

I was worried in that first half, it seemed like more of the same from Wrexham and actually the couple of games before that even with the changes.

As soon as we came out second half and just had more intensity about us, it seemed so much better. That's absolutely where we're at our best. EMC was just what was needed at that moment and a solid tactical call to change it.

Whatever was said at half time was clearly taken in.
