Brutal!Wrong
I want to say he scored a goal for us away at Lesta, a comeback draw under Coleman. McPake equalised late on
Full metal jacket!Wrong - he scored 0 in 10 appearances
McPake actually scored to make it 2-1, Deegan scored the equaliser. For years i thought Sears scored a goal away at Sheffield Wednesday and i was racking my brains trying to figure out why i thought that and it was actually Zavon Hines and i'd gotten my shite West Ham loanees mixed up.I want to say he scored a goal for us away at Lesta, a comeback draw under Coleman. To add to this, sorry if this is boring even for CCFC enthusiasts and forum bores, but Hines scored in a 1-1 draw in 07/08, future CCFC defender Richard Wood scored an injury time equaliser for Wednesday. Just a couple of years later Wood scored a late equaliser for CCFC against Wednesday at home. Freddie Sears started for CCFC in this gameMcPake actually scored to make it 2-1, Deegan scored the equaliser. I was watching the game at uni with a group of Scottish folks who were intrigued that someone supported ‘Cuvun’ree’. The look on my face at half time kind of matched Chris Coleman’s look of pure death.McPake actually scored to make it 2-1, Deegan scored the equaliser. To be fair this could be confused with hundreds of CCFC games over the years. We never learnWas this the game where ITV Sport were in the stand watching our fans give vitriol to our players, and there was one fairly old lady giving them loads of abuse, only for us to score in the last minute and suddenly she started cheering. I feel like it was Zavon Hines, but then again, I thought the opponents were Barnsley.
Totally embarrassing moment that I will never forget!
This sounds like literally every game around that period so i have no idea. Was this the game where ITV Sport were in the stand watching our fans give vitriol to our players, and there was one fairly old lady giving them loads of abuse, only for us to score in the last minute and suddenly she started cheering. The defeat at Ipswich takes the cake from that time. Only the farce at Carrow Road this year can match it.This sounds like literally every game around that period so i have no idea.
I have two 2-1 defeats to Blackpool and Palace etched in my mind. Both involved us being 1-0 up and both involved two late collapses. I think all 4 goals may have come in injury time. The defeat at Ipswich takes the cake from that time. Only the farce at Carrow Road this year can match it.
Palace was under Andy Thorn I want to say? Christ, we threw away so many points from winning positions under him. Nearly 30 in the relegation season.I have two 2-1 defeats to Blackpool and Palace etched in my mind. Both involved us being 1-0 up and both involved two late collapses. They may both have been from that season tbf. So many bad seasons in The Championship/Division 1 to choose from but obviously that one took the biscuit.Palace was under Andy Thorn I want to say? No, it WAS Barnsley and the old dear had been chanting "you don't know what you're doing" after we subbed Wayne Andrews on. Naturally Andrews then banged one in.Was this the game where ITV Sport were in the stand watching our fans give vitriol to our players, and there was one fairly old lady giving them loads of abuse, only for us to score in the last minute and suddenly she started cheering. I was ITK back in the day. Players complained the only time they saw Thorn was on matchdays. Never at the training ground.Palace was under Andy Thorn I want to say? Christ, we threw away so many points from winning positions under him. Nearly 30 in the relegation season.
Yep, Palace losing to 2 last minute goals was the relegation season. Me and my old man went to that. They may both have been from that season tbf. So many bad seasons in The Championship/Division 1 to choose from but obviously that one took the biscuit.
It was a midweek game right? Or a night game at least.Yep, Palace losing to 2 last minute goals was the relegation season. Me and my old man went to that.
Now that sounds unfair, I’m sure they saw him in the pubI was ITK back in the day. Players complained the only time they saw Thorn was on matchdays. Never at the training ground.

Yes Palace away. I seem to remember having it on the radio getting ready for a night out and being really pissed off. Funny what you remember. At palace?
