On 17 October 2025, following discussions with the King and other senior members of the royal family, Andrew agreed to no longer use his titles of Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, and Baron Killyleagh. He also agreed not to use his honours as a Royal Knight Companion of the Order of the Garter, and reverted to his prior style, HRH The Prince Andrew

King Charles sacks off Andrew on the same day he announced he's going to pray publicly with Pope Leo in the Sistine Chapel....there all fucking nuts.

Does Andrew need to emigrate to say USA to live out his old age like where he could be a protected species,or simply be honest about the circles he mixed in?

Wow, what a punishment
Andrew will move to a property on the Sandringham Estate, it is understood, and any future accommodation will be privately funded by the King.

The move will take effect as soon as practicable, with Andrew set to receive an appropriate private provision from the King.

Always been a supporter of Royals but it starts to make you think is it time for a change or a different model.

Its up to William now to re-shape the monarchy if it is to have any future.
I do feel that its at a crossroads now, and if it doesn't move with the times it could soon be over.

I imagine he’ll move it much more in line with the likes of the Dutch royals with a lot of the pomp gone.
He and Kate are far more popular than Charles and Camilla, and he generally seems the most intelligent of the family. He won’t need to remove pomp, just turning up and waving will be sufficient.

Something even worse must be about to come out, surely. To take these steps, I can't see any other reason (not that it wouldn't have been appropriate anyway).
I think it was prompted by the need to head off a debate in Parliament.
Right decision.

I disagree. I think there will be quite radical modernisation with most of the pomp disappearing and titles removed from the wider Royal family.

I agree, I think it will be a much smaller set up and a lot of the land and royal houses eventually being sold off.

William appears to be quite well liked and respected, and for the future of the monarchy the sooner he becomes king the better!
Ideally, I'd like to see them scrapped, but William seems much more down to earth and relatively normal compared to his older relatives.
