Came out of the game slightly disappointed which seems a bit odd after a 3-1 win.
If we were a cat we used up most of our nine lives in one game. Watford really gave us a scare and the pivotal moment was when at 0-0 when Rushworth saved the 1 on 1 and we went straight up the other end and scored our first. Goals at the right time helped but we were somehow still under pressure when they had a man sent off. 🫤

The BBC report:
The visitors did pull one back from the penalty spot on 68 minutes via Imran Louza but Coventry coasted to a sixth win on the trot to extend their lead to four points at the top of the table before the afternoon kick-offs.
Bullshit we coasted ..we were atrocious.

Shoukd have been 1 nil down inside 2 mins.

They bossed it with 10 men. We had the wrong tactics...had no midfield...but hey ho we git away with it.

Louza ran the show.

That's the most flattering result involving my team ever.

Better teams with better finishers woukd destroyed us today. It's simple.

Their xg of 2.54......they had 8 shots on target. No many if any teams this season will have that many shots on target away from home.

It felt like we had 10 men not them. It was awfull display not one I'm proud of. As I have been proud of many other.

We were schooled for 96 mins.

Funny game, as everyone has said. That’s the championship - difference being now, we are clinical in both boxes.

If these are now our bad days 2.0 v Blackburn and 3.1 v watford - good god!!

MVE is a blow now for Wrexham, but good chance for KKH. Wonder if we go 343 again, to handle Moore - and then go direct against a very ropey defence.

would like Eccles in there for Allen also Friday.

Same i didn't have in me to cheer. That was truly woefully. I've watched almost every singer home and away for 10 years felt like we were playing a team from division above us.

That forward line of 4 players yes it scores goals...but omg we are so open and easy to cut through midfield

😂😂 This is nonsense pal. They were great and deserved a lot more from the game for sure. But how we defend counts just as much for how we attack. And we stopped them scoring a bunch in the first half.

Second half we took off foot way off the gas naturally - but they still didn’t score anything other than a pen.

“atrocious” is such a catastrophisation and honestly just a representation of how entitled some of this fanbase is becoming very very quickly.

Why do people in the North Stand with season tickets not turn up?

Wasn't just the North Stand, looking from the West Stand there were lots of empty seats in the East Stand. 🤔

Rally dont know what match u was watching.

Really not surprised their fans stayed till the end. They looked like scoring and winning. They got a Standing ovation and fair play their players deserved it.

Just because a teams good doesn’t make us atrocious though does it.

if we lost to 10 men being 3-0 up, id be with you. But we didn’t. We won playing poorly with a makeshift midfield in the absence of two of our best players.

we move on.

Every single team that gets promoted will have performances like that.
You don't get promoted winning comfortably every week, not encountering any jeopardy and with a perfect game plan.

Today tells me we're the real deal far more than pumping Sheffield Wednesday.

I respect the negative reaction to the game today but frankly I am not bothered in the least. The objective is 3 points, the outcome was 3 points and it was NEVER in danger despite a spirited watford effort.
An observation from today: our fans need to wake up. We arent fervent fans, more reactionary and we need to get behind the team.

They were a threat, but they never looked like winning.

At 2-0 the next goal was crucial; if they'd have got it, it may well have been a different result. However, they didn't, because we were so much better at putting the ball in the back of the net than them. 3-0 the game was over. We didn't have to bust a gut in the second half.

Why this ridiculous hand-wringing that a team with some extremely good players, whom we beat let's not forget, caused some problems? We're not going to waltz through the season.

This forum is hilarious sometimes. Every game in the Championship is difficult. We clinically took Watford apart in the first 10 minutes and playing against 10 men with a lead for the rest of the match is never straightforward. We managed it well and came through a sticky last 30 minutes with relative comfort. Our current average points tally would see us clear 100 points comfortably, but that doesn’t mean every game is going to be easy and Watford won’t be the only side to get on top of us for a spell. The fact that we came through it unscathed speaks volumes.

I'm not sure what some people on here expect. We haven't got a god given right to trounce every team 5,6,7 nil. I have said before we are every team's cup final now and sometimes we will have to win ugly, grind out results. AND we will lose some games, possibly from winning positions. Watford are a good team and will take points off our competitors.

We beat a decent team 3 to 1, and people are happy. Guess that says how far we have come.

Yes that was his 5th yellow. Don't mind it though, KKH has to play sometime.

Milan also looked knackered at times today.
Here I go…about ready to unleash my conspiracy theory of the day. Get your foil hats on folks!

Milan deliberately got himself booked today. The foul was ridiculous. Completely unnecessary and an obvious booking.
Frank told him to do so as he doesn’t mind him missing Wrexham but wouldn’t want him being suspended and missing any of the (tougher) following games - Sheff Utd, Stoke, boro, West Brom.
There. Have it Sheeple!

PS
I might have been influenced by a crappy YouTube short I watched this morning saying this is what Jose Mourinho did once with Sergio Ramos and Xabi Alonso in the Champions league.

Conspiracy Theory Pt 2- Frank learned about this from Jose Mourinho during their time together at Chelsea!
No smoke without fire!!!

PPS
I was unable to attend today and have been cooped up in the house for 3 days due to having Covid (not a conspiracy theory). It’s properly knocked the shit out of me and I might be slightly delirious.

Schooled? Awful display?

We were clinical in that first half. Could have had more too

Watford did play well for sure and could easily have got 3 or more goals themselves, but Rushworth was excellent.

Second half, we let them have a lot of the ball. That was absolutely fine and they didn't particularly threaten much at all in that second period.

We most certainly weren't schooled and definitely weren't awful

The second 45 mins was dull, but we pretty much had the game won by them, especially with them down to 10 players.

We were a little lucky at times, but were clinical, scored three and had the game sewn up.

I think your assessment is way OTT and looking at the amount of laughing emojis you have received, it appears many people feel the same way.

Not proud?

🤷🏻‍♂️

Negativity It’s mental - winning 3-1 and being 2-0 up in 8 mins. For those of us who sat in the Ricoh 3/4 empty freezing on anTuesday night it’s dreamworld.
FFS we are just 12 games in with a tough set of winter fixture ahead. Not every game will be easy. Enjoy it.
We are clicking, getting some winners luck during games and playing with the confidence of champions. Bringing Simms and KKH on is something some teams can only dream of.
Once we add a couple of top players in Jan we will move to next level again.

Totally agree, we went 2 up and almost lost the idea of how to play. 3 up and a man sent off and we lost the will of how to play. We're almost too good at scoring goals

Once again, we were not overrun second half. Quite the opposite. People just remember the last 10 mins.
