Didn't realise it was only £17, I'm going.

Went the league cup game as well, it was the day of the piss poor riots in Manchester city centre when the shop on Market St got burned.

I know somebody who lives in Middlewich as well.

I feel I must attend to seek my revenge from that piss poor performance in the League Cup I witnessed a couple of years ago, one of Andy Thorns finest moments.

Okay you Northern fellas, if I get the train up to Manchester, how the feck do you get over to Bury as it appears they have no train station and is it worth having the ale in Manc or going straight to Bury ?? Someone mentioned a tram??

Live in Bury myself, if you get the train to Manchester (Piccadilly or Victoria) there is a tram direct to Bury (£4 ish return) that runs from 6am until 1am every 10 minutes or so.

Once in Bury there are plenty of places for a pint either in the town centre (The Art Picture House being the closest to the Tram stop) or The Swan and Cemetery/The Staff of Life and many others closer to the ground (not sure which are away friendly).

The ground 10/15 minute walk from the Tram stop

Anyone needs any info, drop me a message

There's a tram that goes from Altrincham to Bury via the city centre. Takes about 20 minutes - best looking on GMPTE website for exact times. Think it's about a mile walk from tram stop to Gigg lane though.

Tickets are £17 at the back of the stand & £19 at the front.....

Obscured views from further back......but less likely to get wet....because it WILL rain.

I'll be there.....bought my ticket online a few days back..... yet to arrive in the post but there is plenty of time yet...

Get the tram from either Piccadilly (if you fancy a few scoops in Bury) or Market St / Shudehill / Victoria if you fancy a few scoops in Manc.

Bury wasn't too bad for a pint last time, I know Manc well so drop me a PM if you need any advice.

Will be going to this one. Taking my youngest to the game (nearly 7) - does anyone know what's the best tickets to buy (stand view) a £17 or £19 one as he had a problem seeing when at Oldham earlier in the season.

We now have an allocation of over 3,000 tickets for Bury....

£19 for the Main stand & £17 for the Manchester Road End.(East Stand)

Tower_skyblue....I would get yourself in the main stand as the East stand is behind the goal & has some obscured views.

I live in Bury, itsa good night out friday/saturday. if your coming on the train get the tram from picadilly station straight through to Bury, top of the station turn left walk about 50 yards and all the pubs are to your right. The knowlsley, chicargo rock,Yates, wyleds, white lion, two tubs and many more. but beware of the notorious (BIC) Bury interchange crew. also known as (IBS) because they spend half there time hiding in the toilets. (shitting themselfs)Bless. town center to Gigg lane 500 yards walk with three more pubs on route down manchester road. PUSB

We will be at Bury,, but will warn you it's a real old type ground and the area is a genuine dump.
Just hope it's a better result than last years trip when we lost in the cup.

Bury isn't a dump at all, probably the least rough of all the old South East Lancs towns (Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham).

I'm considering it, but it's unlikely, I don't have much money to spend on footy games after Sheff U + Crewe x2.

3060 alloacation. I'm in!
The club must be asking for the maximum allocations available now. Robins has said a few times how important the fans are. If we're still in and around the play offs in April the last 3 away league matches will see huge demand, Walsall, Crawley and Notts County will be like home games.
