United looking at George Shepard who was on the bench for us yesterday
Can they nick him for next to nothing? If he has any sense, he'd gain a lot more from working closely with Frank, and at somewher he'd get a chance. He only needs to look at what happened to Charlie McCann (I think) who went to Man U.

I’d like to think we’re in a better position now than years ago when we’d lose them all to villa etc

do we need a DM? an all round midfielder and someone like rak sakyi would help us
I feel like if Grimes went out we dont have an out and out 6 to come in for him, I think I’d like a young player who’s good enough to contribute off the bench, Eccles and Allen are good enough to backup Torp and Asante for Rudoni whereas Grimes we dont have anyone that can come in

Again the problem with trying to find a Grimes backup is…how do you persuade someone to join to be backup to someone who literally doesn’t miss a minute.

Thinking in Jan we’ll sign a winger and CDM, feel they’re the only areas we lack any depth and anything else could be a loan to supplement due to injuries
LB is still an issue. Brau has yet to get a start or offer any real competition (very early days though) Bidwell is probably available on a free, if he wants regular game time, so I think a loan would give us some better cover for JDS for the run in.

A winger who can play on either wing would be ideal, and if we could replace Lats with another CH/CDM that would be ideal.

So 2 permanent in and 1 on loan
And Lats and Bidwell to move on would be the perfect window.

I dont think you replace him directly, you have to switch system.

Wouldn't mind seeing a few extensions to our current squad, Wright, Rudoni, Milan and get Sheppard on a pro contract quick. From that id look at a LB with he same attributes as Milan and try to move on Bidwell. Then look for another pacy attacking option who can play wide or through the middle.

Personally would look at a right winger, A CDM and potentially a back up striker (only as imagine BTA will compete for the left winger role).

Not sure on who but think a Grimes back up would be a very hard find just due to how important he is in our initial build up and play style.

We need;
- winger, ideally who can play both sides
- midfielder, id love a real dynamic presence box to box / although torn as we do need another 10 type for me, perhaps winger can do job there

key for the window is buying ready to go players, like grimes - that’s going to be hard.

Hope the scouting has been working over drive.

Ill be honest I can only see extensions for those first 3 if we get promoted. I think they will wait it out otherwise.

And not forgetting Connor Thomas.

As Brian Clough would say, don't do it young man. 🤔

We need a left back in the Milan mold. DaSilva has been very good but was poor again yesterday. I just don't think he is the answer. Bidders can move on. We need an attack minded midfielder who can drive with the ball, like Rudoni/Torp and a ball winner for when needed and used as back up to Grimes. Allen is a very good bench player who can always make himself available for the ball when we want to see a game out. Eccles the same. A two footed winger to back up options from either flank would be good. A striker who is exceptional in the air when change is needed. Job done. The question is who identifies to that? Do we have to be challenging in order to tempt the player we need?

They have been trying to keep the lad Sheppard quiet for a while. His name was banded around before FL came. We have to get him tied down otherwise its not going to be just Utd that will be on the phone.

How about the US based midfield player we were linked with previously, Daniel Pereira? Doesn’t the US season end in December?
MLS is done now for clubs that didn't make the playoffs. Austin FC(His club) made the playoffs however so he will be playing for a bit longer now. Solid all around player and would fit in here. Would love us to also take a look at another Austin FC player, Owen Wolff, as far as that goes haha. Only 20 years old and a very bright future.

I would like another body in midfield, an upgrade on Allen but keep Allen until the end of the season and see what division we're in. Would be happy for him to be 5th/6th choice. Another winger too, someone for either side or possibly even both.

We really need to go up this season otherwise we're going to see a few move on.

Been saying for a while now so I’ll keep saying: the midfield backup is all a bit meh. Not the best in any of the positions. We have zero backup on the wings. Two forward minded players who can fill in either wing or in the 10 minimum. Ideally an 8 as well.

And yet we're 10 games unbeaten and scoring goals for fun ?
Don't think any player who has filled in so far this season has performed badly , in fact I thought Allen was brilliant yesterday and stabilised our midfield .
Think we need a flexible wide player/attacking midfielder but wouldn't be too disheartened if we didn't sign one

I think it all depends where you think Asante is best placed, out wide or the 10, I actually think the 10 gets the best out of his game as his positioning is questionable however our 10 is more of a free role

We're already keeping one Woolf away from the door (well, the defence)
