Him claiming that corner was a thing of beauty.

Even Collins would have looked best in the League over the past few games, let's be honest. It doesn't tells us a great deal really but good to see the clean sheets, obviously.
In fairness speedie ive been impressed with rushworth recently.. talks to the back line , fast distribution .. claims well from corners

Looks a good lad

You think so?

It’s a massive step up for keepers. Has he had any game time for Brighton
He is getting game time with us.

It's hard for a GK to establish themself as there's only 1 position they can play. Even when a squad is depleted if the main GK doesn't get a rare bad injury like Dovin they never get to play. How often does a GK get substituted?

If we get promoted we need to keep him. His confidence would be Sky (Blue) high. It would cost us but with the Sky money we could be buying our 1st choice GK for many years.

I love it when a thread like this comes back and I start at page 1 again 😂

Utter garbage saying it’d been no different with Collins. Don’t underestimate how much a confident goalie installs general confidence into the defenders in front of him with everything they do

I'll be the first to admit, the first 4-5 games of the season, the jury was still out. He was riddled with errors, and more often than not, his kicking was far too long and over hit. I couldn't see how he was an improvement on Wilson. He was as error-prone, that was for sure.

Leicester game, he turned a corner. Made 2 really good saves and commanded his 6 years box. Can't say he's been asked to do much for his last 3 clean-sheets, but he's cut out the errors and is doing the basics asked of him well. Long may it continue.

If he keeps this up, Dovin might find it hard to break back into the team. Good on 1 sense because it means we're still winning, competing, and keeping clean sheets in a push to promotion. Shit in the sense that next seasons No1 (as it stands unless we bring somebody else in, or can sign Rushworth perm) is spending a season on the bench getting no confidence or experience before being thrown back in next season, hopefully in the prem.
