Im certainly getting excited. I've got a feeling in my gut that I haven't had since the L1 season. There's a feeling, an aura if you like, around the club that I've not felt since that season, too.

It's been great being the ignored underdog for the last few seasons. Nobody taking much notice of you allowing you to sneak into the play-off contention. The season we, and Boro, both made charges from the bottom 3 to play-offs. All the talk then was about how well Boro had done to come from relegation to finish in the play-offs and Sky in peticular wanked them off because of it. Whilst we did the exact same AND beat them in the league and the semis, but not a word. We were ignored. People didn't pay us any attention. And it helped us slide up the table unnoticed. All the attention was on Boro and Luton.

However, the L1 season, there wasn't a game or team I feared. Never did I think we were going to lose a game. And even after conceding, it still felt like we could and would win games. That feeling is back. I've a real good feeling about this season.

This is pure Sky Blue blinkers.

We got plenty of relative publicity for our charge up the table..... in fact i didn't even recall Middlesborough had done similar, so there can't have been that much fanfare about it.

Luton got plenty of mention (and rightly so) because they had flew straight up from non-league (as far as i can recall)

Thing is for the press the three leading teams are unfashionable - should we not have Frank the attention on us would be minor - BUT it is a long way to go just need to stay in touch by being unbeaten home and away 😁

A win tonight would put us back on an average of 2 points per game. After that, our next 6 opponents are (currently) all in the bottom 10 so I would hope we can maintain that average against them too.

By the time the next international break comes around, it's not impossible that we could be sitting on 30 points from 15 games.

Another interesting break at 15 games?? That’s one every five games!

If we'd recruited as badly as Birmingham I'd shoot myself in the head. Kyogo might be the most overhyped Championship signing of all time, he'd miss the toilet with a shit.
i said he misses loads of easy chances but hey what does some who watched him play for 4 years know?

Once again I have to wonder if your being serious now

It is a winnable game
Just like Pompey is winnable for Boro

We could also lose it
Just like Boro could lose to Pompey

Being optimistic for best scenario is fine in terms of hope but saying it as if it's likely is presumptuous.
I like this style of response where you are taking care of with a particular viewpoint of the end user!

The gap between SPL and Championship is huge now and although Celtic is obviously historically a massive a club they are basically getting weaker as the league gets weaker pretty much every season atm. Scoring a load of goals there means little, some frankly woeful players have gone to the SPL and had decent scoring records.
I'd happily take Maeda and 1 or 2 others having said that but even at Celtic there's not a lot to get excited about.

Theres probably 6/7 players at Celtic I'd have in our squad

Look at the things you said I had said when I hadn't. I said it won't be easy for Middlesbrough because it is about a 6 hour journey for them. You come back with me supposedly saying they will lose.

Of course nothing is certain. The Championship is one of if not the best divisions in Europe. And we're at least one of the best sides in it. Injuries and suspensions will most probably come into it but that's the same for every side.

Middlesborough will stay overnight

Maybe more of us will start to believe that we have a very good chance of promotion now. Between poor manager appointments and hardly any side having a decent transfer window the top 2 is there for the taking.

We don't have the depth that Leeds had last season but I still say we have the best side in the Championship. We have competent players on the bench. We have a very close squad with a very good manager who has been improving our players.

Our next 2 games are winnable. Middlesbrough are at Portsmouth on Saturday. Not an easy game. If we win both games and Middlesbrough don't win we go top and build a gap between us and the rest of the clubs.

Trying not to get excited but it certainly is looking like it's our turn to go up.

Long way for Middlesboro to travel too, even if they stay overnight they might be fatigued from the travel down

Another load of draws in the league this round of games. 8 draws from 12 games. That’s what we want to see as we take full points, keep a clean sheet and bag a heap of goals
