Let's be brutally honest, from what we've seen of him so far, he's no better than Wilson.

The warning signs were there in pre-season, but they were ignored as "over confidence" but now its hard to ignore the fact that he doesn't actually save very many efforts on goal, and cant organise his defence or command his area. Unfortunately the stats dont lie.

Is he still adapting to being a no1? Is it still early days ? Can he become the keeper we thought we were getting?
And would we spend £5.5million on him now? There's far more questions than answers so far.

To be honest its getting harder to justify him starting, and he's only first choice because Wilson was considered not good enough.
We certainly need Dovin back ASAP.

Watch him get M.O.M today 🤞
Well, having thrown some shade on the lad earlier, Im giving him credit where its due.

He did nothing wrong today, and looked solid when called upon. He claimed crosses when it was appropriate to do so, and looked sharp when shots came in.

Hopefully he will gain some confidence from that clean sheet and go on to be the keeper we need.

Certain posters have been shown to be utterly clueless yet again.
1 good game doesn't make people look clueless. The blokes took some flack so far and has fully deserved it. The stats until today have backed that up!

Hopefully today is the turning point and he can push on from here. However, 1 good game in solitude against a back drop of errors, doesn't make people look stupid! As it stands, today's good performance is the exception, not the rule. When he's had 3 or 4 games playing this well, then maybe you can call posters stupid!

I haven't called anyone stupid - I've called those calling for Wilson to be brought back into the side clueless, which they obviously are.

Fuck me mate, 1 decent game doesn't prove anything. How many good games did Wilson have when he won the golden gloves and set our clean sheet record?

Let's be honest you just couldnt wait to post that shit could you. Clown!

He was solid today, nice push around the post stood up well on the one on one although could have been megged. Think the defence as a whole played well, didn't panic and dealt with every corner well

The fact that Brighton wouldn't sell him for a reported 5M suggests people who know what they are doing think he is good , and I believe we weren't the only club after him. He has also won supporter's and player's player of the year at Swansea.
Combined with today's performance, it sort of suggests a few early mediocre performances for a new team is the outlier.

He did stand up well for the one on one. Credit where it's due. He looked as surprised as anyone to get Motm today because Leicester did not manage to put him under any real pressure. He made his routine saves from the pretty tame shots from distance. It seems to me that he's a quiet lad and you don't see him commanding the box at all. I agree with those saying the jury's still out very much so but this was certainly a performance to build on.

On the quiet point, think this comes with the lack of experience and being a new lad in the squad.

Think Dovin mentioned the same last year that he had trouble finding his voice. Think he’ll come a decent way at the end of his loan, hopefully this is the start

I'm sure it isn't easy, especially when your confidence isn't there either.

The game wouldn't have ended 0-0 with Wilson in goal!

Really good game from Rushworth! Didn't put a foot wrong!

Our away form so far has been brilliant, if we got 4 more points at home from Hull and Norwich (both probably deserved overall) and we would have been flying in the table)

But as we know all too well its how you finish the season and not how you start so we are defo in the mix!

Squad is defo too light but we should have funds to plug any gaps in the January window ( and its looking like we will be much closer to the top 6 in January than previous years so we will defo jave a chance for top 6 if not higher)

Am I right in thinking it’s just 1 goal conceded from open play in 6 games ? Rushworth has his faults clearly but as a unit we’re defending better and still have to see Woolfy can offer
