The West Ham Stadium (not upton park), home of Thames United

Saw a video on youtube about them, game was against Luton and 425 people?
Never even heard of this venue.
White City Stadium (1966 an all that) is a great bit of trivia especially when you factor in the unbelievable reason for it needing to be used as a venue.

There was a clutch of English/British teams/clubs in two European competitions in 1955 - But only one clear British winner as a club.
Well, I say 'clear' I think it was by a matter of weeks if not days.
You counting Birmingham City? The invite was for a "Birmingham" team but they were entered instead.

Inter City fairs was an invitational competition (no qualification needed) but B'ham were permitted where Villa would not have been - Similarly Liverpool would have been and Everton not.
Hence why no London club were allowed unless they made a name change to include the name of the representative city - hence why the first English representative team (not club) were 'London'.
But no one's yet given me a correct answer to my original question - and the competition in question wasn't even ICFC.

It's not correct. I asked the same question later, thonking I'd trick a few, didn't realise it was already asked. The answer is Lyle Taylor (Forest). Both your question and mine said first goal not first City goal.
His behaviour in the Baka away game a Charlton mean all his goals officially never count for records.

Also did the original question say league game? If not then Waghorn scored before him as did 2 Wolves players.
