Jimmy Kimmel is off air because he sucks. Bottom line. He stopped being funny long ago. His numbers tanked. He was a wanker. ABC is using this to drop his sorry ass. Nothing to see here.
Hmm, seriously?

You think this is nothing to do with Kimmel always taking the piss out of the Trump administration and the comments about Trump politicising the Charlie Kirk murder?

Okay .🤷🏻‍♂️

If he’s sucked for years (and I don’t dispute that), why only take him off the air now?
Exactly. Trump has been trying to cancel him for an age now. They could have taken him off the air at any point. They didn't need an excuse, because he's always having a go at the Trump administration every week.

They didn't need an excuse to do it.

It's all gone a bit paranoid over there and every criticism of Charlie Kirk is pounced on.

Bullshit. Utter dumb bullshit.

He was obviously dropped precisely and exactly because he criticised the weaponisation of Kirk's death by Trump and his acolytes.

Look at the timing and tell us how many shows get cancelled with no notice because of falling ratings.

You're taking absolute nonsense. Plenty to see unless you've got your head so far up Trump's arse that you can see Nigel's feet.

Yet the likes of those who committed terrorism with the attack on the Capitol are fine.
Yeah, so Antifa - terrorists, but the Proud Boys are fine. Righto. 👍🏻

This is just complete bullshit. Whether you think Kimmel sucks or not its insane that the quality of his show is the reason its been taken off hour. The republicans openly pressured the FCC and within hours he was off air. Same as Colbert.

Doesn't matter what 'side' you're on you should be very worried when the self proclaimed champions of free speech are dictating who can and can't broadcast and getting people who dare to criticise them removed from air.

It's like they want a civil war. This sort of shit is the reason they have spent decades claiming that regular citizens need to own a huge arsenal of weapons.

The absolutely desperation to find something 'leftist' about the killer is so obvious and completely at odds with how they have handled shootings by those who could be classed as on the right. The glee and rush to their keyboards when someone said in court he had a trans roommate was very odd to see.

At a time when you need voices calling for calm you've got those at the top basically saying go after anyone who doesn't agree with MAGA.

The sitting president is boasting about getting a show cancelled because it hurt his feelings.

Cancel culture
Snowflakes
Etc etc

They have sensed that Paramount will give in to the fascist pig and fire them too, hence they’ve just gone balls to the wall in their episodes lately.
This weeks episode of South Park is 'delayed'.

The money South Park generates is insane. They've just signed a new streaming deal with Paramount for the back catalogue for $1.5bn. On top of that they've got a separate deal with Paramount, signed in 2021, for $900m for the next six seasons.

They way the deal, and all South Park deals, are setup the two original creators get 50%. At this point getting cancelled would probably do them more good than harm. They can easily afford to create a South Park app / channel and go direct to consumer with all that money in the bank.

So not long after a FOX host calls for homeless people to be executed…

Where's Trump? Shouldn't he be demanding Fox is taken off air. Almost like the rules change depending which side of the political spectrum you're deemed to be on.

Come on guys, let’s dial down the rhetoric, the radical left is going too far.

‘I would give the homeless involuntary lethal injections. Kill them.’

All cool, nothing to see here.

All these radical left homeless people, groaning like bitches, as we try to pin them down to inject them

Some people are so ungrateful aren't they.

This is why this kind of rhetoric is so dangerous as people will take it literally.

Remember when Trump told the public that injecting people disinfectant as a viable treatment for Covid....and people actually did.

We have the issue here
Lucy Connolly darling of reform imprisoned for inciting racial hatred at a time of rioting in the streets is to the other side jailing someone for speaking their mind
Now flip it
We have to be for free speech everywhere or nowhere or balanced in how we deliver something short of it

Certainly no blame can be attributed to the father. He did nothing illegal and his son was a grown man who should be responsible for himself.

What I will say though is that if you bring a child up in a household where guns are considered acceptable, even necessary, that child is far more likely to be willing to use a gun than a child from a household which does not own guns and considers them unnecessary and dangerous.

There is quite a common thing in the US, when asked about why they need guns, to hark back to the formation of the country and the need to defend themselves from tyrants. So if they consider someone a tyrant isn't that the entire point of having the guns? It's a nonsense but if you bring a child up with that kind of mindset during their most impressionable years, it must increase the risk that they'll do something about it.
