It shows how culturally different the USA is compared to the UK. Anyone coming up with that stuff wouldn't be given the time of day.

You only have to look at posts on X where individuals are now intensely dissecting every clip, video and social post Kirk ever put out to try and somehow justify that the public execution of a man was somehow warranted, which is a baffling and objectively evil viewpoint.

It shouldn't take a genius to figure out his views on topics such as systematic racism, geopolitics, Trump, pro-life vs pro-choice, and even religion etc. largely weren't acceptable or even correct - just to touch on the latter he was genuinely factually wrong most of the time and when he put his head above the parapet and debated people which were quite clearly intellectually superior than he was, it was a pretty humbling experience for him put it that way. But he had the right to express and share his views regardless without the threat or act of violence.

But yeah, I do think language and rhetoric has become a catalyst to driving a sizeable wedge between both ends of the spectrum and it's gone unchecked for too long.

It's the medium they choose to amplify their beliefs,if it 30-40 year's back he'd of got ignored in the local boozer shouting at the wind and making no headway at all, it's like that Waco church thing where they took a lot of People out

Mate, come on! Universities are being threatened by Trump and co., the press is undermined constantly, and Kirk himself had two projects with the expressed aim of getting people who disagreed with him fired, and that's me thinking about it for about a minute.

Discourse from loads of political POVs is poisonous with no focus on solving issues that affect people's quality of life. It's an outrage arms race that all 'sides' of the argument perpetuate, and I'm sad that there's no leaders anywhere I see making this point.

I mean you say that, I've lost count of how many rabid homophobes on the right turned out to be in the closet themselves while being in so much denial over their own sexuality. Just like the current crusade by some against pornography when you can be sure they've all got their own stash hidden away.

Actually, he got grades ABB which would not usually be enough to get into a top university like Oxford. Questions being asked now of how he obtained a place.

So, while probably more intelligent than the average person, he’s definitely not one of the best and brightest.

Depending on the subject he applied for and the school he attended it would quite possibly be fine to get ABB.

But why are you digging into the A-Level results of a uni student who said something dumb?

I didn’t go looking for it, to be fair. What are you trying to imply?

And my point was in response to the OP saying he was among the best and most intelligent, which give his A Level grades, is probably false.

Fascism will always marginalise minorities in any given state due to its ultra-nationalist, ethnic majority bias.
