Because its not popular these days to take the shirt numbers 1-11 for the position you actually play in. KKH has taken his shirt number as the shirt number he wore at PNE last season. Fuck knows why Milan, our first choice RB, isnt wearing Number2, nor why he didnt wear it last season either! Just not a cool enough number clearly

MvE took his number from someone else (Bidwell maybe?) when he came cos he’s got it tattooed on his neck I think. Everyone’s got a special number these days.

They are just allocated numbers.

In line with EFL regulations, clubs are required to confirm a maximum of 25 players that are eligible to play in the Championship until January 2026. This includes both goalkeepers and outfield players. Players that are under the age of 21 are not required to be registered, unless they are on loan.

I haven't seen a story about City's list but Ipswich, Wrexham and Blackburn have recently published their lists.

I expect Raphael, Collins and Obikwu will have potential January recalls built into their loan agreements.
