he’s played 3 games in 2 years and coming back from another acl, he isn’t going to want to be and he likely knows he won’t be first choice anyway.

i wouldn’t sign him regardless, will take him till January to get fit

Not always as simple as that. Some will have been on a massive wage and expected similar again. Now they're not earning anything and if they're not careful will never play again unless they lower their expectations. The longer they are not playing the more clubs won't take a gamble on them.
