Tbf he'll move the party so far left it might shut out Corbyn's nonsense. Probably more of a genuine antidote against Reform for the vegan pussy marchers.

Will be interesting to see if he completely jettisons the rural nimby half for trans rights and Palestine. A lot of Green MPs were elected on the “don’t build anything on the country” ticket not the “I have blue hair and use too much social media” ticket.

I always associated the Greens with the environment, but I think the days of that being their main policy are long gone and it's definitely more rainbow than green now.

I did and its documented on here

Carla Denyer is also vegan and pan sexual and should really have been leader

She wants to limit the consumption of animal products to prevent deforestation and reduce global warming. I had this debate with @shmmeee many times as basically he likes to fill his face with nitric shit.

I think Mr Polanski - not his name by the way - and his time as a hypontherapist when he took money off an undercover reporter and said putting her under would enlarge her breasts is not a career enhancing moment

@shmmeee shouldn’t be allowed to be on here anymore after his racist offensive outburst earlier on, tbh it would do him so good being banned of here! He’d be able to leave his bedsit and get some fresh air

Depending on your view either Labours strategy of stopping losing votes to Reform is working, or it’s completely pointless because that’s not where they’re losing votes to.

I wonder what Starmer will do now that Rayner has admitted underpaying her Stamp Duty Land Tax.

He would probably like to sack her from her ministerial roles but he knows he can't remove her as deputy leader because that is within the gift of the party and not him. He supported her at PMQs this morning,so my guess is that he will dither for a while and say we must await the outcome of the parliamentary investigation. He knows these things take time but if he's hoping it will blow over then he's probably mistaken.

His best bet is if she resigns. She has shown no signs of doing so yet - preferring to blame her tax advisers - but she may have little choice if she continues to make the headlines.

Lots of articles about her leaving school penniless with no qualifications at 16 and pregnant. Until moving into politics about 10 years ago, it was care work and trade union rep. Fair play for overcoming poverty but how on earth is she worth £5m and has 3 houses despite the stamp duty issue? Seen lots of character assassinations about how she 'obtained' the money, but pretty sure if that was true there would be a lot of skeletons out by now, so how did she achieve it? PM's pay is only approx £170k so hers can't be more than £150k.

Given the recent internal changes, I wouldn’t put it past him/his staff being behind the media briefing.

The Angela Rayner debacle is humorous because her behaviour is at complete odds with her politics.

She’s a politician who regularly points the finger at tax evasion yet, given the opportunity sought legal advice to avoid a hefty tax bill. It’s hypocritical behaviour and if this was a Tory cabinet minister, Labour politicians would be calling for them to resign.

No one can blame someone for wanting to reduce their tax liabilities and that even extends to left leaning politicians who wish to increase taxes.

I don’t buy her excuse either, she’d have had to prove where her funds came from and if she took that from her home under a trust… how solicitors wouldn’t have picked up on that I don’t know.

Some of those character assassinations are indeed ugly. Rayner definitely deserves the heat she’s getting because her entire career has been on taxing ‘the 1%’, yet here she is dodging tax as someone in the top 2-3% of earners.

Most ‘tax evaders’ were advised by people to reduce their liabilities. It’s entirely rational and this is why reducing taxation can boost tax revenues.
