Why’s his age, at 26, an issue?
For me that’s exactly what our defence needs. We go and get a 21 year old, it’s likely he’ll make the same mistakes our current defenders do.
This is what I'm saying. I never said it was an issue. I agree we need some experience and grit in defemce. My argument is, is at 26, say he has a 4 year deal, takes him to 30. We wont make much profit on that £4m investment.

Doug says the clubs model is to buy young/cheap, improve, sell at profit to reinvest. Which works so far.... you still need some experience platters amongst the young lads. Im saying that £4m for Wolf is better than £10m for Huges, just at his age, we wont make much profit on that £4m. Nothing wrong with that because, as i said in another post, what's better? £100m for winning play-offs with Woolf? Or £5m + add ons from a Huges sale?

Not every signing is about profit . Look at Brighton who signed Milner and Welbeck to add to their youthful squad , it's about balance and readiness to play regularly
I dont get what your argument is here? Youre literally arguing against me, whilst agreeing with me??!? Im confused?

I have NEVER in these last few posts said profit on a player is most important. Which is why I said Woolf is my preferable signing of the 2, even though we wont make as much profit if we were to sell him. We would most likely make more on a Hughes resale (age being a big factor in that) but I still refer Woolf.

Seems legit “journalist” who got the labelling hashtags wrong for both Sunderland and Cov in the same tweet.
I mean, Clive Eakin was a legit journalist that used to get players names and opposition club names wrong by the minute.

regularly be playing Blackburn for instance and he's still saying Oxford as that was who we played the week before etc

3 players to be announced. And their reveal is a joint one. All in the horrific away shirt with a tutu but no pants. And they’re doing the can can, and their knob and bollocks are all over the place.

It’s what I’d arrange anyway.

I reckon that, age wise, he is just what we need. Plenty of experience but nowhere near past it. Indeed, for a CB, he’s probably just entering his prime years.

I agree we are unlikely to make a profit on him but if he helps to get us into the Premier League that is an irrelevance.

Which is exactly my point
