Right assuming our starting X1 is the team that started yesterday.

We have 9 subs.
Named yesterday.
Wilson
Allen
Raphael
Brau
Bidwell
Kesler
Simms
Sheaf
Sakamoto.

Once Eccles, Woolfenden ( or another) and Lats make it on bench.

Whos not making the bench?

Think we may see a left back leaving...Bidwell and I reckon MVE.

We dont need 3 left backs maybe even Jamie Allen. As Eccles is almost fit.

The Woolf isn’t our primary CH target t Hughes.

the club wanted both.

Hughes to come straight in to the team, Woolf to provide competition …

we may only get The Woolf but don’t expect him to come in and be a class above Thomas and Kitch.

We need to go all in on Hughes else our defence won’t have been improved

Assuming everyone is fit and we sign 2 more players who obviously at least make a matchday squad, I think Allen, Bidwell, Lati, Rapha all miss out.
I think my maths is ok with that.

I'm not sure about Woolfenden at all. I think it's always a risk bringing in a player who has only ever played at one club for such a large proportion of his career, especially when that club seemingly had a massive level of overperformance more than the sum of it's parts in that time. Just hope we're not falling into a bit of a trap of 'well he's got promoted out of this league before, he must be a top centre back at this level'.

Ultimately though time will tell and I'll certainly give him more than 4 games (👀) before making any sort of judgement.

but he played nearly every game the season they got promoted , he’s a quality championship centre half with prem experience, if your unhappy about a signing like that then ?
I’ll judge him when he plays for us, but I don’t like their fans saying he’s not very good at defending set pieces when we are already hopeless at it

His stats show he’s decent on the ball but average defensively. I get that both come at a premium but I don’t see him doing a great deal to change our defensive problems.

Really ? if we’d of signed him the season they went up it would of been a brilliant signing, we’re getting the same player only with more experienc, brilliant signing

I think those seemingly disappointed in Woolfenden because they want Hughes need a reality check

Hughes is a great player, but he isnt worth the 15 million quid Hull wanted to let him go. Woolfenden is a third of that price, was a mainstay of a side that got promoted from this league, and is an upgrade on both Thomas and Kitching

What more do people want?
