really not sure. that tweet suggested a few teams were looking at him, but then itk’s suggesting it’s done
Blackburn announced a new signing today, so not buying into having to wait another day to do some deals

Worst case scenario with leaving transfers until tomorrow...

In the WhatsApp group...

Austin: Hi guys and gal, sorry I am off sick today
Lampard: What?! We are just about to get Hughes, Woolf, Boving and some surprise foreign gems over the line
Austin: Yeh, sorry Lamps. It's just I have this annoying tickle in my throat that's kept me up all night
Dr Roberts: You may have been spending too my time with Ben Sheaf
King: We just need you to sign the paperwork and then you can go home to bed
Austin: I can't Dougie. After playing cards with Ben, I had an arm wrestle with Bidders, and my fingers are now broken
King: How's the deck looking Frank?
Lampard: We are short of a couple of aces and one of the jokers has been loaned out. At least we have Rudoni
Austin: Well, actually Frank, just before my broken fingers and my throat tickle...

Bling needs to tell his wife she'll have to keep his roast dinner in the oven when it's cooked as he'll be in the office all day, he needs to sort a transfer out today and if he don't Sir Douglas Bling has to go

Right assuming our starting X1 is the team that started yesterday.

We have 9 subs.
Named yesterday.
Wilson
Allen
Raphael
Brau
Bidwell
Kesler
Simms
Sheaf
Sakamoto.

Once Eccles, Woolfenden ( or another) and Lats make it on bench.

Whos not making the bench?

Think we may see a left back leaving...Bidwell and I reckon MVE.

We dont need 3 left backs maybe even Jamie Allen. As Eccles is almost fit.

The Woolf isn’t our primary CH target t Hughes.

the club wanted both.

Hughes to come straight in to the team, Woolf to provide competition …

we may only get The Woolf but don’t expect him to come in and be a class above Thomas and Kitch.

We need to go all in on Hughes else our defence won’t have been improved

Assuming everyone is fit and we sign 2 more players who obviously at least make a matchday squad, I think Allen, Bidwell, Lati, Rapha all miss out.
I think my maths is ok with that.

I'm not sure about Woolfenden at all. I think it's always a risk bringing in a player who has only ever played at one club for such a large proportion of his career, especially when that club seemingly had a massive level of overperformance more than the sum of it's parts in that time. Just hope we're not falling into a bit of a trap of 'well he's got promoted out of this league before, he must be a top centre back at this level'.

Ultimately though time will tell and I'll certainly give him more than 4 games (👀) before making any sort of judgement.

but he played nearly every game the season they got promoted , he’s a quality championship centre half with prem experience, if your unhappy about a signing like that then ?
I’ll judge him when he plays for us, but I don’t like their fans saying he’s not very good at defending set pieces when we are already hopeless at it
