Not sure we need a CM unless it improves on what we already have

Think we’re short cover for Torp and Rudoni

Might be a wage issue tbh for us with some players.. depends what we are prepared to pay , we know Sheffield united payed considerably higher than us before

I think the wage bill will be what stops us putting a proper top four squad together tbh. Feels like we’ve got enough for a decent first team but no one a parachute club wants and not huge quality in reserve.

There has got to be some moves today or tomorrow, Dean Austin's sleep patterns must be utterly erratic at the moment. 🥱

worse than Thomas?! i’ll ring Bling to get the transfer cancelled ASAP

Liam is having a better season than last year so far , and better than Bobby so it begs the question why we arent going for a better defender defensively as we have Liam and grimes who also drops in to play out from the back .. Hughes made sense as his profile was more defensively sound .

Confused

yes agree i wish we would just pay what we need for Hughes. Woolfenden stinks of settling for the ugly bird in the club as backup after the fit one rejects you

Even so TBH. I actually see Allen as the most forward minded of those three in some ways. He’s the only one I’ve seen to a half decent job as a 10 for example.
See I think Lampard sees Eccles as this considering he’s been the one to play the box to box role where as Allen often drops back.

Either way seems a odd one unless someone is off

Oh, cuz you seen the player in Gyokeres from the first touch did you? Bullshit. I know as a fact, MANY on here and that I speak to at games and within my group thought the same. But you clearly know better and could see what Robins seen...... which is why you're on here, not managing Man City instead of Pep

People's failure to see potential in Gyokeres was a mystery to me, but defending him on here was pointless. Still applies today - look at some of the ridiculous negative comments about EMC for example. People see a couple of poor touches, and there's no way back once they've made that judgement 🤷‍♂️.

I trust them , seem to have been after him for a while too and had a bid rejected around 10 days ago .

Just in my head its a bit weird

Now signing them both however would make unbelievable sense , maybe that was the plan , could still be

He wouldn’t drop grimes for five minutes when he had Sheaf and Allen available and he was blowing out his arse yesterday, so maybe he does want another 6?

Signing both wouldn’t shock me. We need a solution to defending set pieces and to reduce the amount we give away in dangerous areas

We just need depth and not 2 CH’s who are guaranteed to start every game! Bad game, and you get dropped.
I’d imagine if we spent over 10 million on a centre half he’d start the majority

I know clubs don't usually announce anything on Sunday but I wish the club would read the room and consider the collective mental health of this forum.

Something needs to happen.

Some of the takes I have seen in the last 12 hours ago are pretty staggering. We drew to Oxford, but some are behaving as if we have Russell Slade in charge and we've just been relegated to the Conference.

Your never going to get the perfect balance in a squad, wev’e carried on from last season scoring plenty of goals, we just needed to tighten up at the back, which looks like we’ll do, it’s going to be a very good season again, and we’ve actually started well
