I know I’m biased but the fact a lower tier Premier League team hasn’t come in for Hamer is baffling, especially as he wouldn’t cost much now.

He’s proven he can do it in the PL and he has game winning ability and flair a lot of PL players don’t have.

Binks went for £2.5m and you wouldnt have COH back for £2m. That is mental. He would give us a change of pace and cover multiple positions.

Comparing him with Binks is irrelevant.

I'd rather us spend £2m elsewhere or put it towards someone else. Midfield is an area where we have most depth...£2m on O'Hare would be a waste. He wouldn't get into our starting line up.

And my main point is that paying £2m for someone we had to let go on a free 12 months ago, isn't good business.

I'm pretty sure DK would see it that way.

We might have well said, 'Here, SUFC, you have O'Hare for 12 months and we'll give you £2m for the pleasure'. It would be a nonsense move to bring him back.

It would be a great deal.

O hare or hamer coming back would be great even if unrealistic . Saying no simply cos we moved on is silly

So you're ok with this bit: We might have well said, 'Here, SUFC, you have O'Hare for 12 months and we'll give you £2m for the pleasure'. It would be a nonsense move to bring him back.

Mental.

Hamer, I would take back mind (although unrealistic).

We had no choice in him going though.

It hurt that he went on a free cos we knew he worth more than that

But he's also prob worth more than 2m right? So not end of world of we got him back for that

I still think it would be a waste of £2m for a player to sit on the bench when said player would want to be starting.

Not too dissimilar to KKH/MVE situation. Plenty have questioned paying £4m (or whatever it was) for someone to sit on the bench of MVE stays. -
There's absolutely no way he gets in ahead of Rudoni.

So how much should we be spending on bench players?

Only idiots questioned having two quality RBs

If he didnt play for us previously we’d all snap your hands off for O’hare at 2m its the fact he left on a free and we’d have to change his song to “signed him for a fee”. It’d allow Rudoni to have a rest every now and then, Cal can also play on the wing. Something brewing methinks

Good question and not sure on that answer but I guess I'd rather us put £2m into a new CB, LB or ST when we've got relatively decent coverage in midfield.
We have got a few midfielders but none of the others really suit the advanced positions that Rudoni plays in.

It's not happening anyway, but if we were really going all out another advanced midfielder would be a good addition imo
