I also like the idea of a sheaf and grimes pivot playing infront of a back 3 with KKH and Brau really advanced as wingbacks

Would be something different.
Wouldn’t mind this idea, personally would go with a single pivot of Grimes with Sheaf (torp) and Rudoni in front just means we can keep the back three while allowing one CB on the left or right to go high up the pitch.

We have some really good attacking full backs, and likely to sign another good CB.

I think back 5 is something we should look to use at times.

JDS isn't a great LB, but hes much better at LWB, Brau looks good going forward, We have already seen KKH is very useful going forward.
its odd Lampard deviated last season - if i recall much of our massive win streak was whilst playing 5 at the back. It even got the best out of Simms, that being said it didn't suit EMC or to an extent wouldn't suit Wright.

I think the squad will need to buy into a horses for courses mentality - what works against QPR at home won't necesarily work against Leicester away.

I agree.

Playing as we did Saturday as plan A, 3ATB, wingbacks and two strikers as plan B.

I think at this point I’m totally relaxed about it either way. If he goes his replacement is already in, we get a decent fee and I trust us to get at least a loan in for backup. If he stays and continues the form he’s shown in the first few games then that is also a positive. KKH will still get plenty of game time and means we can rest MVE more to keep him fresh.

Imo it is. Milan’s started the season very very well and even if it means we have to go for a cheaper option or a loan as cover for CB, I think it’s worth it to keep Milan
We won't have to sell MvE to buy the CB imo. Pretty sure we get that done regardless.

I'm just posting what i saw. I have no opinion on whether it’s good or bad. I like MvE, i'd like £10 million also.
Wasn’t referring to anyone in particular. We haven’t sold anyone from the Hamer/ Gyokeres wind fall. We can’t just keep singing players without any sales, I think we’ll still try and sell Milan but if that deal falls through I can’t see us getting that much again.

I’d happily keep Milan if it means we only get a Centre back addition and a squad player further forward he’s the best in the league

I’d like another first team player. I’d also like Milan. I’m happy either way.

I don't think we need much, we'll sign the CB we need, we might sign a winger for a small fee like Godo... after that, i'd love a better striker than the likes of Bassette/Simms but we'd need them to move on anyway to do that.

Yeah that would leave us looking strong for this year but then what if we don’t get promoted? Next summer you’d have a lot of important players with 1 year left so you’re under real pressure to sell, possibly at a cut price. The model only works if we sell at the right time.

Yes we would if we get promoted this season Milan could go for double that price.

Rather we keep him. He's the main vibe of the group good off field and even better on it...PUSB

Nothing changes here for me. If we’re dependant on MVE going to fund another CH the only two outcomes are that we either have a RB short or a CH short in our squad. We have to add a CH even if it’s a loan at this point.

Other than MvE who is important who has a year left after this? Saka maybe. Simms and Sheaf once upon a time but probably not going to raise huge sums now. I think we’ll be OK.

We bid for Hughes and Woolfenden, you don't just do that if you 'might' sell someone. The money is clearly already there for the CB at least. It'll be fine, relax.
