Have Palestine started making kits then?

Also calling the Guardian pro Labour is laughably out of date. Are any of Farage’s references from the last 40 years? Man has clearly never set foot inside a football ground.

Genuinely cringe when politicians pretend to be a fan when they’re clearly not.

They haven't got a team left by the looks of it.

Clearly it's going to be a target audience of his, I can just imagine John Daziel warning us off in his pre match ramble on how to behave.

Farage apparently likes football and is a Crystal Palace fan

In the same way that David Cameron is a West Ham Villa fan, sure.

Apparently not. On Five Live the other day some Labour guy said they met Farage and said he’s very passionate about it

The irony of course here is there is one very passionate fan of football - a certain Rupert Lowe

On the other side Corbyn is a huge Arsenal fan.

Starmer - well I doubt it

At some expense to someone else!

I’m sure if you were PM and Doug offered you a quiet seat you’d take it but sure. There’s a long record of people talking about his love of playing and watching football who aren’t him. It’s one of the most well known things about him other than the fact he sounds like this dog:

Starmer is a season ticket holder at Arsenal and used to play 5-a-side himself.

Has Farage ever been pictured at a Palace game?

How would I know? Starmer gets a free corporate ticket doesn’t he? I think (?) it was Chris Bryant who made the claim - ask him.

This is a rather strange conversation as one person who undoubtedly loves football is Rupert Lowe - clearly a man of the people.

I guess if we are really getting into politicians who go to football a lot - Michael foot and Roy Hattersley I’ve seen supporting their clubs at Highfield Road - Corbyn definitely and Rupert loves it

Well how would you know to doubt that Starmer is a proper Arsenal fan?

Starmer’s support for Arsenal has been well documented for some time - well before all the freebies stuff when he became PM. By contrast there doesn’t seem to be evidence of Farage ever going to a Palace game.

I have already stated that the only reason I mentioned Farage is because of a radio interview as I was driving. I couldn’t care less.

I doubt Starmer is a fan of anything unless he believes it to be popular. He’d be a One Direction fan if he thought he would get some votes. He’s absurdly shallow.

Corbyn is a fan and wouldn’t be cadging freebies like Starmer and Reeves.

Again the irony is the subject of this whole thread loves football.

Oh another who loved the game of course was our very own Geoffrey. Never missed a match

Looks like he's been a Palace fan since...about 2 mins after they won the FA cup.

A true superfan

He’s a Woody Johnson fan not a Palace fan. Crystal Palace is just somewhere to meet to discuss how they’ll carve up the NHS to the benefit of MAGA America should Nigel Farage ever become PM.

I wouldn’t talk about fans of football clubs who never talk about football if I were you Tony.

How are all these men getting in to the UK, its a joke. Hardly asylum seekers fleeing war
There was a doc on immigration and they specifically highlighted Albania. Young men are being absolutely bombarded with content / ads on social media about a wonderful life in the UK. Of course its all bullshit but they're being taken in by them and then handing over the money to be brought here for 'a new life'

Albania is one we seem to have made a real dent in with returns. I think seeing someone “off to the UK” and then turn up back home probably has more impact than stories of Rwanda.

So Farage, who is desperate to come across as a 'normal' bloke but never mentions the most popular pastime for 'normal' blokes in the country is a big football fan? Whereas season ticket holder Starmer isn't?

So why don't we liaise with the Albanians and get ads sent to the phones on the reality - shit weather most of the time, shit food, nothing works, everything ridiculously expensive, homelessness on the rise, housing crisis etc.

On the subject of politician football fans I walked behind Alastair Campbell when leaving the CBS after our game against Burnley last year.
