However, asked if it is fair to say that having already lost one centre-half in Luis Binks and not yet replaced him, that the club are not going to let another one go without replacements coming in first, Lampard said: “We need centre halves and we need centre halves to come in, for sure. And at the moment we have Joel (Latibeaudiere) whose not fit and Bidders (Jake Bidwell) there, who can and has done the job.

“Of course we know we’ve got Bobby (Thomas) and Kitch (Liam Kitching). We know what we need; I certainly know what we need and that’s fine.”

He added: “It’s the early part of the season and we’ve got time left in the window, so that’s all to say.”

Doesn’t sound like anything’s imminent at all

It's fairly obvious DK has embargoed any public talk of transfers. Even simpletons such as yourself surely can figure that one out.
You said he physically isn’t allowed you plumb which is clearly not the case. It’s a policy decision not a physical restriction.

Either way managers know how to play the game. They can give out hints and messages without breaching policy.

The fact Frank isn’t suggests to me that he’s not unhappy with how this window is likely to proceed.

Will It be Hughes, Doyle or AN Other?
Was reading Peps comments in the media today after the Wolves match. He is very keen not to have an inflated squad with players who are not going to feature, as he feels it's bad for morale. I hope that sentiment might translate in to us being able to get Doyle on closer to our terms, equally might encourage other clubs too!

What a strange thing to think I meant that.

Are you a complete idiot or are you just odd? Probably both.

It's a buyers market if you want rid of a player and a sellers market if you want to keep said player.

I can't see anyone stumping up the 10 Mil City are asking. The longer the window goes we may see a lowering of the valuation or payment terms of it.

we’re def not in the market for another forward and the way Lampard was talking, bidwell can cover at centre half, and lati when he’s back, I think that’s us done, just hope kitching and Thomas don’t miss a single game

But having to sell Thomas to get one, your still leaving yourself short, I think we’ll just find a way with what we’ve got, we‘d of done something by now ?
I don’t think we need to sell Thomas to sign one. We bid for Hughes well before any Thomas rumours appeared.

I think it’s more likely we sell MVE and bring in a CB than sell Thomas to bring one in.

If Thomas and Kitching can stay fit all season long, sure. But either of them out for any meaningful length of time and we're stuffed. One more in if BT stays, 2 if he doesn't. And if we can't line up a replacement, he's going nowhere.

If we have to sell someone to bring in a CB after selling Binks it is pretty appalling.

Bit of a worry if he’s still starting, brau not good enough ?
Foreign players usually take time to adjust to the British game, especially when they are inexperienced players stepping up in terms of quality and physicality of the League.

Brau will be our first choice LB given time to adjust to the pace and physicality.

Were only seeing the best of Torp now after over a year in the UK, and I expect it will be similar with Brau.
