My bare minimum requirement for a footballer playing for us is that they work hard. BTA fulfills that in spades and by doing so, accidentally (usually) will score a few goals. Did his job today, got his goal.

The only one audacious enough to take on that shot first time early in the second half though, and he wasn’t far off. Smart enough to follow up on the rebound for our 3rd, which is surprising for a Cov player.

In fairness to @Skybluedownunder Rafa did look a bit positionally shakey when he came on and slotted in on the left. He gave the ball away in dangerous areas at least once in a few mins. However, in Rafa's defence it's hard to get into the rhythm of the game when you come on so late and the opposition are committing people forward and putting pressure on players who are not up the the speed of the game.

Says you? MVE setting up two goals playing like a winger up high when you said would be crazy for him to play there. I also said MVE can occasionally not be the best defensively which today he wasn’t.

Playing a little higher up plays to MVE’s strengths which was clear as mud after watching today’s performance
