actually your right,mr last minute .com, but if we were the club that offered 7 million for rushworth and 8 million for the hull lad,we’ve got the money ? Why we leaving it so late ?
Reminds me of when we signed Kitching. We were linked with him for the entire summer and only signed him on deadline day. Could see the same happening with Hughes

As bad as some of Bobby’s errors have been, he’s usually a decent player and has the capability of scoring a goal or two unlike a lot of our players. He also seems to have a good attitude, rarely gets injured and has a bit of grit about him. I think he’s pretty decent and I’d be disappointed if we were left with no Binks and no Thomas replacement. Even if we got one replacement we’d still be down a CB, hardly squad development. There’s still time but it’s been a bit of a strange window so far.

Would be nice if the rumours about players leaving were ones we want rid of instead of key players we haven’t replaced.
Understood. It’s clear that we all rate Thomas differently.

I like him as a guy, seems totally committed etc. but if I’m honest my happiest moments watching Bobby have been his late goals not his defensive displays and that can’t be right for a central defender.

I’ve rarely seen Thomas have the sort of match Hughes had against us where he just seemed to read, block, and head every attack.

I want us to sell if the deal is good for the club and enables the team to be strengthened.

Thomas is a weak link. Poor on the ball. Opposition teams are now playing to this. We can do better and £8m enables us to do it.

I don’t want to sell Rudi but if the bid gets big enough we will.
Ic he’s such a weak link why do the team that finished third want him?

Something rose to consider … IF there has been a bid and we don’t know for certain …. Clubs rarely bid these days unless the players agent has given them encouragement that his client would be prepared to move there …. It’s not black and white sometimes they do to flush out other offers or an improved contract but If Sheff utd have bid they will have already had discussions with his agent ….

Maybe there are deals we just haven't been able to get over the line?
Jimmy87 said we've had a couple of bids rejected, he didn't specify for which position, but you'd imagine at least one was for a CB.
