Well that's quite simple as he can't do anything about 'leaks' at clubs who want to buy our players and who will happily put things out in the press if we're being stubborn over the fee.

By contrast if we're going in for players, there will again only be 'leaks' from the other side if they're trying to drum up the price. Just as Hull did recently

Hull blatantly leaked the hughes stuff, all too convenient with their appeal hearing etc, and this could simply be case of SU leaking to show fans they are trying.

Not saying there isnt anything in it (quite possible we have also leaked via press to suit our narrative).

We are trying, Jimmy referenced 2 bids for 2 players turned down recently (guess hughes and another).

King whilst a businessman is also not stupid, hes not going to completely destabilise us just for short term profit. He knows his best chance of making a mega deal is us winning promotion.......

The idea that it’s been quiet all summer because ‘Doug has cracked down on the leaks’ has proven to be complete fantasy seeing as we’ve barely signed anyone and all the players we have signed were reported well in advance. It’s been quiet because we haven’t been that close to signing anyone else. If we sign more players this window they will undoubtedly be reported on beforehand.
