Simms starts for me. Change of style with the big man up front and see how that changes our approach. This is a game for trying stuff out and giving one or two squad players some time including match fitness for Wright who should come on at some point. We don't want to slip up here and start question marks over our start after what looked liked two easy games. A convincing win would be welcomed.

If the club can’t be fucked I sure as hell can’t. I’m not paying and dragging myself out if the club is going to play Ben Wilson Jamie Allen and a couple of kids. Even the friendlies had better sides than that. Just a waste of everyone’s time.

Saying the club 'can't be f*&ked' is a bit harsh.

They obviously do but need to manage work loads for players across a busy season. It's common practice for all clubs to rotate for cup games...doesn't mean they don't give a sh!t.

Yeah agree with this. At the end of the day Lampard is managing people, he needs to rotate today, he doesnt want to upturn the apple cart by not playing certain players.

I think Shmeee is another football manager fan

That’s true for every game of the season. Arguably a single league game is less impactful than any cup game. This has all come from Champions League worship in the PLnand prioritising finishing 5th over winning a cup. Je refuse

Luton in good form coming into this with 2 wins in 2 and no goals conceeded. Although Bloomfield has said they will be resting/rotating.

Looking forward to seeing Perry, Andrews and Rapha in a competitive match.

KKH - Thomas - Perry - Brau
Grimes - Andrews - Rudi
Rapha - Simms - EMC

With another 30 to 40 off the bench for Wright

I know bugger all, obviously, but would be amazed if Wilson didn't start.

I don’t think EMC will start, Lampard said he’s carrying a slight knock didn’t he?

I would expect Wright to play there if he’s capable of 50/60 mins, or Brau might start there with Bidwell at left back.

Would be happy with Wright getting minutes on the left.

Why does this formation make it look like everyone’s keeping their distance from Rapha?
