Sportsboom reporting Norwich put a bid of £6.5 million for Doyle back in June.

They believe Norwich, Leicester and Sheffield United are all interested...

Suspect he will just sit out final year now, more down to not many teams wanting him.

I think he will go out on loan, probably to a League 1 team if he wants to play, with us still paying a good chunk of his wages.

That's probably good for all concerned. We won't have to pay all of his wages, he can get to play which improves his chances of getting another contract elsewhere and I think he could be decent enough in a lower league.

He would get to play and still control his own destiny when he leaves on a free after

He doesn’t seem that arsed about playing to me . Even if we offered 50-50 wages with a league 1 club still don’t get why he would. That offer will be there in 12 months. Somewhere

There is the counter argument. That by going out to play to show what he can (can't) do, it would reduce the amount of coaches/managers who are still giving him the benefit of the doubt at Champ/L1 level. I know Collins has already taken a battering on here, but I wouldn't be surprised if he walked away after seeing this contract out. He looks like he loathes his job.

I'd Loathe my Job is I was getting pelters 24/7 as well. Hes only 28, plenty of time to turn it around elsewhere

We won’t be signing any strikers until we offload at least one. We’ve spent a lot of money on our strikeforce (although hard to believe)
